Yes once again a chinese 50 cc 4 stroke motor that refuses to start.I road this scooter last year it has over 1000 kms on it . Plug is dry looks like no gas will not fire.Dropped gas down spark plug hole And it does fire, so far I. Replaced gas in tank and fuel filter.Gas tank valve works lots of gas to carb.No leaks on intake manifold. Replaced spark plug.Placed plug on frame cranked engine and there is a spark on the electrode of plug. Cleaned carb several times , no luck so replaced with new carb. Checked and set valves, compression test over 160 lbs. Sprayed starting fluid down spark plug hole.Sprade fluid into intake of carb. And i do hear like the scooter wants to start, but just not turning over.

Well you've got spark and compression, that leaves a fuel problem. Also, you sprayed fluid into the engine and it wanted to start; that points to fuel. What kind of a fuel valve does it have and how did you check it? Rich

I think you said you did set the valves already, is that correct? I meant on the fuel valve, is it the vac type on the left frame rail, a manual, or a tank petcock? How did you test it? Rich

Oil should be at the top of the XXXXs when the dipstick is NOT screwed down. I don't think your oil level is keeping your engine from starting. I would clean the carb as Sunlproblems suggested even if it's new, you never know what kind of boogers are in there. How did you check the fuel flow to your carb? You should unhhook the fuel line at the carb and crank the engine. Gas should freely come out of the fuel line. What I'm thinking is that you're not getting vacuum to the petcock to open it. Try that and get back. Rich

yes the vacuum seems weak, if i use my mouth the suck on line gas will flow.but if i hook it up to manifold not much is coming out.

When you crank the engine you should be getting a good amount of gas coming out in spurts. You may have a major vac leak and you don't have enough vacuum to open the petcock sufficiently. You'll have to trace the vacuum lines coming off of the intake manifold and see if one has come loose or developed a crack. How many miles are on that oil? It may just need changing. let us know what you find. Rich

Gray oil? Crank bearings, connecting rod bearing? Silver or gray oil usually indicates lots of metal particles...cam chain guides eaten up oil pump gone etc
If you put gas into the spark plug it must fire...if you have sufficient spark...and compression
How did you test the compression?

I think everyone is throwing to many things at him at one time. Have him Check One thing at a time and he will then Learn. Right now I think his head is spinning saying , the whole engine is kaput Also the OIL LEVE SHOULD BE HALFWAY up the XXXXXs WHEN NOT SCREWED IN. When screwed in and pulled out the LEVEL SHOULD COVER ALL THE XXXXXs otherwise you just overfilled it. If you squirted gas down the intake and it fired. Then his problem is most likely a CLOGGED JETS, for starting the Pilot Jet and PASSAGE will be the CULPRIT. SO. GET A SPRAY CAN OF CARB CLEANER they come with a LONG THIN STRAW USE that to Clean out your jets etc.. AND PASSAGES. Just cleaning the JETS IS NOT enough you have to Clean out the PASSAGES that the fuel travels through and into your engine. 1. Take the Carb off 2. Take the Bowl off 3. Take the Pilot Jet out and Clean it Spraying into the jet and making sure Spray is coming out the other end. 4. Take out the MAIN JET and Do the same as 3. Now With the JETS out Stick the THIN straw into the PILOT JET HOLE and SPRAY SHOULD COME OUT HERE: If Spray does not want to come out TAKE A SMALL NEEDLE and poke the little holes to clear them and Spray again. Spray into the Main Jet Hole and Spray should come out here: When all is cleared put it back together. Then before you put it back on TURN the Fuel Ratio Screw CLOCKWISE until it stops. THEN turn it Counter Clockwise 2 1/2 turns. Now put the Carb back on making sure the carb Clamps are nice and tight on the Intake Manifold side and also on the Air Filter Side. Now you can Suck on the Petcock Vacumm Hose and watch the Fuel Filter fill up and hopefully run to the Carb to get the bowl filled up. If not you can squirt 2OZs of fuel into the CARB FUEL NIPPLE to fill the bowl. Ok, now try to start it. LET US KNOW HOW THIS WORKS OUT. Alleyoop HEre is a picture of a carb that may look like yours so you know what is what on the CARB. THIS IS THE LEFT SIDE NOTICE WHERE THE FUEL RATIO SCREW is at: THIS IS THE RIGHT SIDE NOTICE WHERE THE IDLE SPEED SCREW is at:

Also are there any electrical wires other then the kill switch that can stop my start up. Thanks alot guys, for your help im very new to working on scooters.
