Wow 55 mph... What is you tach saying at that speed? I have nearly the same mods and hitting 43 mph is about it at 8000 rpm. I have 8 g rollers to keep the top end.

Yes Tawas, you posted in the right spot. As you can read Scootvirginia thinks you're doing pretty good already with your mods. You might get a little more from a performance exhaust but based on what a lot of riders have posted it won't be world changing. You'll also have to tweak the air and fuel to match the exhaust which means changing a combination that seems to work already. If you're looking for better looks of a stainless then yeah go for it. If you're looking for a real kick in the pants performance boost I'd pass. JMO, Rich

thanks for the help but really iam pretty happy with what i have done all ready but to get these speeds dont touch your cluch at all leave it all stock i played with the cluch and my perfomance went down the drain i also took a cone grinding wheel on opened the exhaust port at the engine large as i could but when i put yellow main spring and yellow cluch spring everything went down hill so make sure to leave your cluch alone stock works best

Interesting comments on the springs. My 50 performance increased with just a variator change to the performance one Scrappy sells. I used 4 G rollers. Did not install the yellow spring, but bought one. Moved the needle from center to bottom. Start off rpm decreased about 300 to 400 rpm leaving the driveway, WOT RPM decreased from about 7900 to 7200, hill climbing ability increased about 2 to4 MPH, acelleration is better, top speed via GPS is 44MPH. No chinameter, it ate the drive gear, again. Most interesting thing is the gas mileage went from the 80's to the 90's better because WOT is not needed as much as it was on the hills. For city I like the 50 much better than the 150 but these people around here think 25 MPH is 40 and 35 is 55 so I ride the 150. LOL back where I used to live the cops would fill a parking lot writing tickets for speeding. ;D

my experiance with mod exhaust has been good as long as not get too carried away u can mod stock exhaust on 150cc scoot just by drilled a few holes , it helps and makes a good sound. they sell a 14inch long muffler like the ones on most 150 scoot that works well on 50's too

Well 55mph on a 50cc that is really hard to swallow guys, GPS that sucker I will bet it is at LEAST READING 10MPH to high. You are most likely running in the 40 mph range. The truth of the matter is most 150ccs will do 50mph some a little over NOW that is 100ccs more than a 50cc lots more power LIKE 5-6 more horse power. That is double what a 50cc motor puts out.
So do not believe the CHINO speedos especailly on scoots that have 10 -12" wheels. Here are what the scoots will run STOCK 50ccs in the 30 mph range. 150cc in the 50-55 mph range. 250ccc in the 65-75mph range.
The reason I mention this not to get anybody mad or anything but when Speed is brought up and they are way out of line Other folks think something is wrong with their scoots. When in reality those are CHINO speeds and not REAL U.S.A mph due to the Speedos being way off always indicating higher speeds than it actually is rolling at. Alleyoop
