Hey everyone,
First time scooter owner here with a 150cc Chinese 2010 Roketa scooter. Seemingly without provocation, my scooter started making a strange clicking noise over the normal purr of the motor after having driven it over 1,400 miles. The noise began suddenly right after I started it up last week and has continued ever since.
The noise seems to be emanating from the motor and seems to be agitated by acceleration and by bumps in the road. It almost sounds like a baseball card hitting the spokes of a bicycle or like something is loose. The paranoid in me fears the worst and I'm hesitant to take it on the road (but it's my only way to get to work everyday).
I'll google what technical terms I'm not familiar with, but keep in mind that you're speaking to someone who isn't as well-read in technical jargon as he'd like. Regardless, any help or insight you'd be able to provide would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated. Thanks mucho in advance!

Check the cooling fan on the right side of the scooter.. It could be hitting the fan cover...I have also seen twigs get in there
Also with 1400 miles you need to get the valve gaps set...soon

Might want to check those valve settings before anything else.

I Googled "clicking noise" to try to cut through some of this technoenigma and the result was "a clicking noise". So, we've cut through that part of it. Have you checked to see if a Chinese worker may have stuck a playing card in your spokes? They're impish little wags sometimes! If it is, be careful, it's probably made of lead. But serially, it's probably that twig Sprocket stuck in your fan shroud. He did that to me once and I had to have it surgically removed.....eh? This clicking thing happened to my wife's Bashan 150 a while back, something was caught under the suspension. It turned out to be her, boy was she pissed! We still laugh about that one...at least I do.....in my secret spot in the basement. If you hear it when the suspension goes down check under the rear mudgaurd and see if something is caught in there. Well I hope this helps, PM Sprocket if you need more help. Rich

The stator screws love to come loose and fly around inside the flywheel until they get stuck on a magnet and create a whole bunch of noise and trouble...
