fuel dries up quick, the dude with the 150 said he had to prime his if it sat for a week. so the whole carb bowl must of dried up enough where the jets couldn't pick it up.

Gotcha. Makes sense.Thanks. Still charging. The goal here is to get past the point of charging today to see what is next AND keep the motivation to do this tomorrow.

OK it's now or never, what's the charger say? Alleyoop is in a different time zone he's still got some daylight. If you stuck with the cheap battery it prop would've been charged up.

It wasnt the fact that my last battery ( the one that came with the scooter ) was cheap it was that it wouldnt hold a charge. Like if I charged it FULL, it wouldnt even give me more than 1 try at starting before it would die. I still have some day light. I think Alley is an hour behind me in sunlight left in this day When its full charge, ill prime it and video tape what happens when I try to start it. You guys can respond tonight, tomorrow or whenever Still charging. ? LOL.

Take the battery to an automotive parts place , like Autozone etc and have them load test the battery. The test is free.
These batteries will look like they are fully charged, but in fact they have a bad cell and won't charge. A load test will tell if your battery is good or bad...

I dont have an Autozone near me anymore. Also I can't say " load test " in spanish. LOL. I'm sure if I googled the translation it wouldnt translate correctly into spanish. They dont speak english at the one in my old neighborhood. If its bad the postage to mail the battery back would be more than I paid for the battery. Im hoping this battery is good damn it. Thanks for the idea though. This one doesnt look like its fully charged. It just says still charging on the charger. Blah. Tossing the scooter into the ocean is sounding better and better. Damn I cant believe at this point I have to figure out the game plan just for the battery! If it doesnt finish charging by the time I go to bed I need to unplug it and I guess try to get my spanish friend to go to Autozone with me to translate. LOL.

Yea, that damn thing has given you some headaches I must say. But the worst was finding that the PETCOCK was only working intermittingly that was a bear to find. Alley

Heh, the worst was finding the SECOND petcock was ALSO only working intermittingly LOL. Ive had that gas tank out about 5 times ( meaning taking all the back faring off that many times) No wait, the stripped screws on the rack on the back of the scooter was the worst to try to get out, no wait drilling the thick cap out of the first carb to get to the air/fuel ratio screw was the worst. LOL. It all sucks.Ya think when u buy a NEW vehicle this wont happen. Damn cheap chinese scoots. The next step up scoots is like $4000 here. I may as well buy a motorcycle for that price. So what do you guys suggest I do? Take the battery out of the scooter and try to charge it all night indoors? Could I like blow the battery up from TRYING to charge for so long? LOL. Should I unhook it and try to start the scoot? Im so annoyed. If I can get the scoot started and running, there is still a prob with it charging correctly obviously. Pout. I'm trying to figure out if there is any little detail that I may be missing. Could the battery not charge as well in the scooter vs outside ofthe scooter. ALso the charger is hooked up to a regular / cheap leadcord into my apartment. I wonder if that could make a difference. The lights on the scooter charger are red showing that it IS plugged in and yellow showing that it is in the process of charging.

WEll it is dark by you know, so I would just disconnect it and tomorrow morning prime the sucker and try and start it. I mean 4 hours on the charger should have pretty much brought it up pretty good unless the battery is kapout. But it was cranking it when you first uncovered it for the first time in about a month. True. I was shocked at how healthy the crank sounded. Ya its dark now too. I wonder if maybe its a problem with the charger and not the battery. Maybe its full and the charger isnt working to tell me it is. Wishful thinking. Hopefully I'll figure out which one it is. There is a warentee on both charger and battery. Ok time to unhook the damn thing and cover it. Will try again tomorrow w it. I need to change the scooter's name. It was " Italiano" im going to rename him POS CCS 49CC. ( piece of s**t, cheap chinese scooter 49cc) At least the weather should be cool tomorrow too. We (South FL people) get 7-10 cooler days a year and after all the heat we cherish them.

Ok so this is strange.... The lights on the charger when I was charging it were the red light next to the little outlet symbol showing that its plugged into the wall and the yellow light showing that its in the process of charging. I unplugged the charger from the wall first and the red plugged in light stayed on and the green full charge light lit up. Strange. I also figured maybe it would show still plugged in for about 30 seconds or something but it stayed on. I decided to plug it back into the wall and see if it showed green light full charge when plugged back in but it showed still charging . I unplugged from wall again but this time red light to show plugged in still on and yellow charging light still on. I shook my head and I then unplugged it from the battery and all lights went off. Did I just make that really confusing? lol. So maybeeee the charger is acting weird? I dont know. I'll work on POS CCS 49CC tomorrow.
