Thanks Sun. Yes the sun came out here today. Everglades are an hour west of me The battery is fully charged. I tried to start it normally twice. Both times there was dead silence when I hit the starter button. Then I tried to start it with a kick start. I tried 3 times and again nothing at all. Then I tried touching the two terminals on the solenoid with screw drivers while the key and switch was in the on position. Nothing at all. I'm assuming I wasn't supposed to try to hit the start button while touching these two terminals to metal. My scooter seems dead as a door nail. Hmmm who came up with that phrase anyway ? Anything I should try next or parts I should look into replacing? 11 days w/ out the scooter and I'm hangin in there Sigh.

Check the fuse on the Positive Wire from the battery, it may be blown and you will get ZIP, NADA,SQUAT. Alleyoop

Fuse sounds about right. I was going to suggest checking the kill switch, but the motor should still turn over if it was flipped.

The test jumping the Solenoid does not need anything it is a direct connection from the battery to the starter. So it it most likely the fuse is blown and no juice from the battery to the Solenoid. I am betting it DID NOT SPARK WHEN YOU TOUCHED both terminals on the SOLENIOD. Alleyoop
P.S. Most of the scoots come with a SPARE FUSE in the Fuse holder.

Thanks running I had the kill switch to the start position Thanks Alley will check it now... ok I looked at it. It looks normal. If it was blown wouldn't it look kinda darkish like a light blub that is blown looks? Ya there was no spark or anything when I touched both terminals on the solenoid with screw drivers.
My scooter doenst have a spare fuse but I think my old one did and I saved it. Let me find it and try putting that one in and trying it out.

No, they may look good but are bad, if it comes with a spare replace it. Alleyoop
BY THE WAY DID YOU GET A SPARK. Did you take the battery out to charge it or was it on the scoot. Reason I ask maybe you connected it wrong HAPPENS TO THE BEST OF US. Alleyoop

NO SPARK or NO LIGHTS OR BRAKE LIGHTS WHEN YOU SQUEEZE all point to EITHER the Battery Is DEADER THAN A DOOR NAIL or BLOWN FUSE. Alleyoop

I replaced the fuse and still nothing when I tried to start it also the screw drivers to the solenoid, nothing. It was in the scooter that I charged it but it must have been hooked up right because the battery charger showed the battery charging for 2 hrs then the light went green meaning its full. I'm going to hook it up to the charger again now just for the hell of it, also double check I do it right Okay its hooked up. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to charge. Its usually 2hrs when its dead but I just charged it a few days ago and have not tried to start it since then until an hr or so ago.

DAMN!! You are having the worst luck I have ever seen.
When you turn on the keys do any lights come on or when you squeeze the brakes? Do you have a MULTI METER? If so you can test to see if the battery has juice. Alleyoop

I agree. Horrible luck. I dont have a multi meter. Its hooked up to the charger. When its done charging I will check to see if any lights when I squeeze the brakes. (before I try to start it ) I cant remember if I have lights when I do that last time I checked LOL.

Yea, when you turn on the KEY usually the panel lights will come on and gauges if it has any like the gas gauge. Also the break lights should come on when you squeeze the brakes TRY BOTH of the brakes. Alleyoop Let us know after a few coffe breaks while the battery is getting charged.

With mine ( even when it was working well ) when I turn the key no lights come on ( not on the dash or anything) but ya the fuel guage moves to where the fuel level is supposed to beh. However my fuel guage doesnt work either. LMAO. Each time I have put it back in the gas tank everything on it seemed fine ( not loose) so I dont know the prob with it. May have to put a different weight on it like u showed me one time ( someday ) I'll try both of the brakes Hehe. Only drink 1-2 cups of coffee when I get up, way to late for that now or I wont sleep tonight That pumpkin spice coffee sure was good this morning. I like all the wacky flavors Battery has been charging for 45 min now. So strange I had it charged full a few days ago and havent tried to start it until today. I may need a new battery soon, this one seems to suck at holding a charge.

Okay. Battery fully charged. Tried brake lights and squeezing both sides work. The left turn signal in back does not flash or click but the right one does in back. I then started it. First time trying it tried to turn over but no go. 2nd time it tried to turn over a little better and I gave it a little gas and it started. I let it idle a little higher for about 30 seconds to warm it up a little and then slowly let off the gas and it stayed running. I then tried the turning signals again neither of them would flash or click ( in the rear) i totally forgot to check the ones in the front or the main running light but at this point that is priority 2 not one. The fact that the lights ran at all was good LOL. I made sure the auto fuel was on and a lil gas was squirted in the carb too just to make sure it def had gas. I backed the scooter up about 7 feet and drove forward with no problem. I then backed it up 10 feet and drove it out of the driveway and it started to die 12 feet later so I let off the gas and it idled fine. When I tried to give it gas it would threaten to die and not move forward but would make a rev noise ( same prob as original ) So at this point it seems like it won't accelerate and maybe the wires to the turning signals or the blubs may need to be replaced but I will take care of that as soon as I get it running correctly.
