Yes, the pilot jet is the one needs to be clear cause that is the one used for starting and Idleing. What you want to do is hold the straw by the hole and cover it with a piece of cloth so it does not spray back at you and it forces the spray down and not out. Take a picture of inside the front of the carb by the BUTTERFLY. THAT SUCKER is pretty much open no wonder you have problems. But now that you have the carb off we can set it right before you put the carb back. Alley

Thanks for the pics / info Alley. I cant tell by your pics which hole is the front of the carb and which is the back.
Pilot jet spray just comes back on me,doesnt come out of the front of the carb ( carb hole facing handle bars)
Main jet spray comes out the back of the carb ( carb hole facing the gas tank)
Good idea on looking at the pilot jet for light through it raford. does it just screw out?
Alley is it supposed to spray out the BACK of the carb if i spray into the main jet?
I remember you guys thought the cable was too tight if I couldnt adjust the idle screw and it was suggested i turn the thing by the handle bars to loosen it. I guess that didnt work.

I just made another video about the cable being too tight, its uploading. I recorded the details of where its all set ( the cable tension) Lucily Im not as annoyed w the scooter today as I was yesterday which is surprising since im dealing w the 2 things i hate the most that have to do w my scooter ( carb cleaner and cable ) #3 and #4 most hated are springs ( i worry they are gonna pop out at me and ill lose them or i cant get them back onright ) and #4 is getting gas all over myself

The Cable is WRONG, right now if you look in FRONT INSIDE where I show the TINY HOLES the BUTTERFLY which is the GOLD FLAP inside IS WIDE OPEN(that is like going 30mph). It is supposed to be CLOSED just a HAIR OPEN.
Yes the JETS just SCREW out. And yes the spray from the MAIN JET should come out where it is coming out that is OK. The problem is with the PILOT JET. So take it out and make sure it is clear and you can see daylight through it. THEN SPRAY inside the hole WITHOUT the jet in and make sure spray comes out by the BUTTERFLY. Alley

Most people use a guitar string to open the jet back up.

Ok I took the pilot jet out. I could not see light through it. I sprayed the hole it was in. It was spraying back on me. (I have a plastic bag wrapped around the carb in the scoooter to protect me and the gas, knowing the cleaner will eat through the plastic but still it helps shield) I tried spraying into the hole slower and it was splashing back a little but finally dripping out the front of the carb too. I sprayed a good amount, really soaked it. Then I took the pilot jet and put it in a little tiny METAL bowl ( i learned this time it cant be plastic) LOL. and its submerged in carb cleaner soaking. I also sprayed into the hole first ( again spraying back on me, so i sprayed slower and at least got the fluid to drip out the other end) ill let it soak a bit then check to see if i can see through it. can you always see through it if its not blocked? dumb question maybe. I didnt know if it could simply be so small u cant see through it ( see light through it )
Raford - guitar string is a good idea. If i had one id try. I wonder if the wire from a bread wrapper would work too ( if i got all the plastic off it ) how can a new carb have a clogged jet? Crazy! Maybe one should always check them before installing a new carb? LOL.

Ah ha I caught you. You took the carb off without taking the air filter housing off. Now you must check the air filter housing throughly for leaks, especially around where the tube that connects the carb to the filter.

Yes once you get the cable adjust pretty good by the carb the Other Adjustment by the handle bars we can fine tune it. On the HANDLE GRIP THROTTLE you need to have ABOUT 1/4 OF AN INCH Play before it ACTUALLY pulls on the cable. Alley
