I'm still trying to get my 2008 lambretta 150 UNO Here's photo of valves. Seems ok to me. I really think it's my carb. Gas goes to it but not getting gas to engine it seems like. Thanks for your time forum members and scoot on! Attachments:

Wow, four valve head....very cool. I'm assuming you checked the valve clearance while you had the cover off. If your getting gas up to the carb but not past it I'd go ahead and clean the jets and see if that makes a difference. Rich

I Have watched the YouTube videos on valve adjustment but can't figure out where they are measuring the clearance. Any tips?

Well you got double the problem... with 4 valves... but you set them in pairs...2 exhaust valves and 2 intake
There are two ways to set the valve gaps , I use the roll over method...
Roll Over Method...
1. Remove the spark plug or back it off so it leaks compression 2. Remove the valve cover. Remove the fan cover 3. Using the cooling fan with a wrench or turn with your hand, rotate the engine CLOCKWISE 4. Watch the valves. 5. When the INTAKE valve, the top one, is all the way open (the rocker arm is pressed all the way down) stop rotating the engine 6. Loosen the locking nut (9mm) on the EXHAUST valve, the bottom one, and using a feeler gauge with oil on it, turn the adjuster screw until it is .005 inch... 7. Tighten the locking nut and re-check the gap to .005"
Then
8. Rotate the engine again, CLOCKWISE until the EXHAUST valve is fully open (the rocker arm is pressed all the way down) 9. Now adjust the INTAKE valve, the top one, and set it to .004 inch 10. Tighten the locking nut and re-check the gap to .004" 11. Replace the valve cover 12. Screw in the plug, replace the plug boot and start up the engine...
On some engines if you find there is too much valve tap, you can back it off these settings by .001 INCH.
Some people set both valves at .004 INCH…

Your feeler gauge goes right in here:

@ cheapscooterguy
In your case you will have to set 2 valves at the same time...like Rich shows above

Mobile mechanic was a waste. At least he was cheap. He confirmed spark and gas. I adjusted valves and scooter really wants to start but not quite. My compression seems low (I need to test tomorrow ). Mt timing chain seems really tight. What do you suggest I do next? Thanks again. Love this forum.

When trying to start it are you opening the throttle a little? Try taking the Vacuum hose off the intake and squirting some gas directly into the nipple down into the intake put the hose back on and see if it fires. That will test if fuel is actually being sucked into the motor. Alleyoop

Yes I've tried with throttle open a little and tried it with throttle open all way. I'll try the vacuum line thing you suggested.

I never try with the throttle open even a little. Especially when cold. This is not like a car with an accelerator pump to squirt fuel into the carb to get it going. With the throttle fully closed, and scooter cold it should start with the fuel enrichment system providing enough fuel. With the throttle open, you are giving more air than needed and basically not letting the fuel enrichment work at its best.
