what i did in my garage is insulated with 1/2' foam with foil backing. foil to inside to hopefully stop a spark. i can heat with 1 or 2 small electric space heaters, the milk house ones that sell for $15. cost for a few hours is negligible. (an 1800 watt heater whether it is a cheap $15 one or a $300 one makes the same amount of heat!) also put a cheap air cond. in the wall. works for me! john

Hey, have you guys seen this thing?:

It's Harbor Freights "high position motorcycle lift" on sale (of course) for $179.99. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how it would work with a bike. I seem to remember being strapped into something like that down in Tijuana after a bottle of Tequila and a $100.00 bill. What might be nice about it is that you could get right up to the bike. Rich

Actually, I did consider something like that. HF also has one at 99.99. The main reason I decided against it was the fact that it picked the scooter up from the bottom. Chance of crushing the plastic pan, damaging the CDI and the battery. In addition it would only give you access to one side of the scoot. I even though about buying one and fitting with a platform to run the scoot up on, but I didn't feel that it would be stable enough and with my luck the scoot would fall off! As it turned out it still cost me $81. and change to build the table. Solid as a rock!

I'd be Leary to lift my 600 pound trike with that thing. The better half might have other Ideas though. Roy

I'm trying to figure what I might be able to build to get the trike I've got coming up in the air to make it easier to do the PDI.

I used two bottle jacks and blocks till I got the rear high enough to place the rear tires on milk crates. Then I used my engine hoist with a strap through the front wheel and placed it on another milk crate.

I believe that if I had a trike, I would have built the same type of table Just would have built it wide enough to to accomodate the trike and maybe an additional 8 " on each side. The ramp I would have made from 3 2x12x8', spaced accordingly.
