On the Roketa Bali 150, it has disk brakes on both front & rear, when I hit the front brakes, it shudders. (Like bad)
I have checked the disk with a steel straight edge, and detected no problems, the pads seem to have plenty of material, I bled the brakes to insure there was no air in the system.
I suspect that the "ABS" unit is bad. It looks as if I can remove it and simply hook the banjo connection to the caliper.
Thoughts?

Some people remove the valve.. but that isn't likely the problem....more likely a warped rotor. Straight edge won't show it.. you need something on the ground like a 2X4 with a nail in it that extends to the rotor and see if the gap between the nail and the rotor varies when you spin the wheel...

That is the only other component left in the equation, and wasn't the answer I wanted to hear, but, that's life, right. I saw a Matrix that had a front disk that looked like a saw blade, it looked really cool, but since this is not likely to be a keeper, I will have to get whatever is cheapest. Thanks, Jeff btw- What part of Canada? My mother is from Cambellford, Ont.

Make sure the disks are clean (with brake cleaner). Pads can easily be ruined if they're contacted by brake fluid , oil, etc. The fault seems to be a high frequency which makes me think it's not warped disks. Anyway thats the easy fixes. How old is the thing? It may need a master cylinder.

Lived in Peterborough for a few years... I know the area well. Used to rent a cottage on Rice Lake
I agree with raford3.. your pads could be glazed..might try using a fine emery paper on both sides of the rotor...something like 400 grit...may help...just don't go crazy with it...wrap the emery paper around a block of wood and hold it to the rotor as you turn the wheel

I remember going to Rice Lake once or twice as a child, also remember swimming in the Trent River. My mother had 3 sisters and 4 brothers and most were very prolific. But what I do love best from Ontario was the cheese and chocolate.

Unfortunately both are now gone... just a few co-op cheese makers left most were bought up in the 1980s

Talked to the wife and we recall that the cheese company we got ours from was Empire Cheese in Campbellford, Ont., I think it was close to a Worlds Finest Chocolate factory. Do you ride scooters in the snow?

When I had the bike on the center stand and spun the front wheel, I could hear a sht, sht, sht instead of a constant drag on the disk, ordered a new rotor, installed it and resolved the problem.
Thanks to all.
Problem resolved.
I sourced the parts from Scooter Parts Pro
