20 years ago I bought a german pedal moped for around $10 at a garage sale when I was out cruising around on my aspencade. went and hauled it home with a PU. got it running, scraped the rust off and painted it pink for my daughter who was maybe 25 yo at the time. she rode it as intended for a year then her then boyfriend got drunk and took it for a joy ride. he ended up in the bottom of a construction pit destroying it and almost killing him self. I do remember it had a sachs engine. she and I both were able to get it up to 27 mph! If it wasn't so far from town here and the treacherous hills here I probably would have a whole fleet of 2 stroke 50's today. john

Really remarkable. Are you repainting the frame and cleaning/shining the chrome and engine or are you replacing parts when you do this?? It looks brand new - probably better than new. Thanks. This is one of my favorite threads.
