www.motorscooterguide.net/files/vespa-scooters-back-in-India.htmlThat's not what gets to me. How about this? With over 2.5 million scooters sold in India in 2011 (out of 13 million total vehicles), scooters represent a huge portion of the vehicle market.I know India has about four times the population we do; I'm guessing that 2.5 million is a tad more than four times the scooters sold here. I'd love to see videos from Bombay, it must look like a scooter rally.

The only scooter they're offering in India is pink? Really? Just pink!?
When you click on KZ's link, don't miss the Quarantasei, very interesting. Thanks again KZ for the great find. Rich

the pink vespa is a response to yamahas ray scooter which is also just pink. for the women, and men who swing the other way. i would say the ray wins with looks but vespa has a good rep so im curious as to which of the two will sell more. will have to wait and see. what i dont see is buying a new scooter as nice as those and driving it in traffic like that, it would be totaled in a couple of days lol. that Quarantasei is very strange looking. the seat looks as if it would snap off after a few good dukes jumps.

Now that's a Chinese fire drill if I ever saw one. I'll bet the ER's do real well in India. And I don't understand why in the 1 min 06 sec of that video I didn't see some one die! john

I don't imagine they have very high speed limits over there so the 125's are probably right for the job. Our 150's are perfect for 40/45mph roads and a stretch for 55. A low cost 200cc clone of the gy6 would be perfect if every thing got beefed up from the 110/125cc sized engine that has the 150cc barrel on it that we all have. john

I have not been in India but I have a lot of years in Asia other than India and China and Australia. It is not the speed limit so much as the roads. Even In Euope I am surprised how fast 20-25 mph can seem in a car. Narrow, winding streets with lots of bicyles and people walking slows you down. In fact, this is an unusually fast street.. A scoot is often a luxery in much of the world. Even on the "highways" you share a narrow roadbed with little no shouders with trucks, monstrous busses, 3 wheelers runing under 30 MPH, bikes, motorcycles, crazy Mercedes and Audis, and so forth. Very little like anything in the US.
