charging not the prob i dont think,i have a 4 pole reg looks just like the original ,when i bought it it said for 50-125cc i think this is the prob ,my question was the lights have to go through the reg from the stator .so the reg supplys the voltage for the lights if not enough volts lights are dim.even with a little throttle the lights are not bright but when u appy brk the lights work fine

Hooked up the original reg. Soon as i started it lights were bright but overcharging so I think reg is the prob the wrong one

I went through this and ended up modding it to 11pole 7pin , I think it was last year , I changed the stator then the regulator about 5 or 6 times with the same symptoms as you .

Bashan was looking for a spare for his franken scoot , I was not able to get a spare regulator . The numbers written on that sheet were taken off of a working regulator . I took the measurements myself . This was how I was trying to find a replacement . I had a few regulators that did not work with the same symptoms as your having . I should have tried to use a ballast resistor with the regulator that was overcharging/letting the voltage go too high . At the time I was so frustrated it just seemed to easy to change the stator magneto and regulator , as the parts were and still are readly avilable from almost everywhere .

I learned the regulators marked for 50cc's would overcharge , the ones marked for 150's some would have good charging voltage and dim lights .

When websites say they have a R/R that works with any Chinese scooter that's a load of crap. The FLP R/R is specific for certain scooters and other R/Rs won't work an all scooters. If it was me, I would call one of our banner vendors that sell parts and have your engine number and any numbers off of the old R/R ready. Rich

good luck on finding a true american to speak with, i know that theres a roketa dealer in texas but every time i called i would get some woman who spoke very little english and had a heavy chinese accent lol.
