I just stopped at the saw shop to get a filter and some gas line for my lawnmower. The line was all rotted and cracked but not yet leaking. Am still thinking about what the guy said about the use of ethanol and its effect on gas lines. We all pretty much know what it does to carbs and the junk that forms when it sits in a gas tank but how about the rubber hoses?
The reason I am into the lawnmower is it flooded when I started it up last week, a chunk of junk got in the float valve.....probably rubber. I didn't think to ask about the new hose and if it was intended for use with crapahol but it does have a date of man. 9/11 so I would guess it is safe to use......thats what they use in repair of small engines there anyway.
I do not think china is making crapahol so that is a sure fired reason to get those gas lines changed in any scooter made in china. USA is just a small market for those scooter manufactures and they do little specifically for us. (just enough to be able to satisfy the gov. on pollution)

im not sure if its true but i heard rumors from credible sources that the gov is going to raise the min level of ethanol in fuel UP to 20% mandatory. im looking into this on the internet now to verify.

Very good point John, the guy at the parts store told me that all the line they sell won't decompose with ethanol fuel. That doesn't mean they use the same thing on the other side of the world. Rich

When you get the tubing... replace all the fuel and vacuum lines then zip tie them with 5" zip ties...
Also replace the fuel fileter with one designed for a gravity feed system. Briggs and Stratton have red ones ($5) or the coolest are the clear filters (Visu-Filter)...I think Scoter Elements sells them ;-)
