I think we have a slight language barrier there mate. On the other side of the pond are 'ya? If this is the ignition barrel you're referring to it's the coil:
You cannot hotwire around it since it is the transformer for spark generation.
If it's this barrel it's the solenoid and can be hotwired by putting a screwdriver across the two terminals:
If this is your ignition block (next to a coil) it is the CDI and cannot be hotwired:
When you need parts look for GY6 and the ccs, not a specific scooter. The banner vendors at the top of the site that sell parts are BPNW, Absolutlely Scooters, Scooter Elements, KidNMe, and Mainely Scooters. Rich

On the cdi , on the plug with two wires : the black/white: disconnect it and kick it starter . Where the key barrel was alapped out use a small screw driver and turn the Inside gentley . Try the screwdriver thing first . John

Bloody hell, the ignition switch, the one "barrel" I didn't think of. There's usually not a pink wire next to the battery. There should be a black cable grounding the battery and two red wires, a thin one with the fuse and a thick cable running to the solenoid. In any event, I wouldn't start cutting wires, they're kinda important.

Why are you adjusting the needle? Leave it and adjust the air/fuel mixture screw on a hot engine Attachments:

I agree, messing with the jet needle is a little premature right now. In any event, most of them have clips with notches on the needle. If you don't see the notches it's the rare bird that uses washers to adjust it. Those are a giant pain to get right and I'd leave it be unless you absolutely have to change the mixture. Rich

I also recommend that if the scooter has been sitting around and not being used for a period of more than a couple of months or so, that you drain the fuel tank, the fuel hose and disassemble the carb and clean it with carb cleaner. Run fine wires through the jets...
Chinese scooters have very fine jets in the carb and they have a habit of getting plugged with varnish from the fuel, if they sit for extended periods of time without being run...
This is a very common problem...

You can get a generic ignition switch assembly from dozens of online suppliers. I'm sure you can find someone local who has something that will work. While there are many different styles, you basically just need something to start the scooter. You don't necessarily need one that will lock the steering column. Heck, even a pushbutton start with a toggle switch will work if wired properly.
