Has any one pulled a majesty engine? I have a full manual with instructions and am just looking to see if any one here has ever been involved with one. Looking to avoid any pitfalls and maybe find a few tips. john

Did it lose more compression? Can't you pull the head and cylinder in the frame? The first time I did the head on my GY6 I pulled the engine, the second time I did it in the frame-much easier.

Not sure if compression is still 90. It is blowing a bit more oil, starting to smoke, So I am going to try to get some parts and make a leak down tester. Is still running and starting ok though. It will probably be questionable for riding two and I will be wanting to do that soon. There is really a lot of air coming out of the crank case vent. Next time I get all the damn tupperware off it I will be doing it. I sure wish a majesty had the same bath tub over the engine as the 50's scooters had. I would be done by now. Those old scooters sure had a frame design that could not be beat....flat floor and the tip off bath tub for engine access. It is 45 min to see some of the engine on this pig. All the fancy crap on the dash display is nice but not necessary to ride with. oil change warning, belt change warning, clock/ air temp display, diagnostics, and on and on.

Geez John, I wish we could help but we're a bunch of Bozos out here flailing around with Chinese scooters. We can't afford those high end Japanese scooters like the Majesty. Rich

Thank heavens you have a Chinese 150 to ride while the expensive scooter is sidelined.

Me and chromestarhustler swapped out the motor on a Velocity MP150-07 with a new crate engine that I bought for $300 today.
It started right up and runs great.
Maybe you can get a crate engine for the Majesty.

If he could get one made in China it would be worth it. Otherwise the cost of a Japanese crate engine probably approaches the GNP of some Third World nations. Hey John, how about this?? www.salvagescooters.com/yamaha.htmThat engine is probably mint and the whole bike with shipping would probably be less than a crate engine.

www.salvagescooters.com/ will not come up. I get part4scooters loading but nothing else. I rode it again today. damn thing keeps on ticking. I think worse case is that I will just have to buy cyl and piston and rings plus any gaskets nesc to seal her up. I just hate to get started with it. worst case probably dollar wise will be under 500 maybe 400. For all those who like all that plastic, I don't and never did and it is very intiminating to say the least. My first scooter had the old bathtub engine cover which completely lifted off to service the engine/
