So from what you are saying is that when you push the Start button it DOES NOT SPIN your starter. Just to make sure DO YOU HAVE the Killswitch on the RUN position, it happens to a lot of use once in a while. We forget to flip it to the run position. Alleyoop

Yes it can be a bad switch, But you can eliminate it by pulling the KILLWIRE off the CDI and trying it. Now if you do not get anything when you push the start button and the starter spins when you jump the terminlas on the Relay then it could also be your Relay that is bad as well.
When you press the start button does it make a CLICKING SOUND if so your Relay is bad? Also you can try and give the relay a little smack with a piece of wood or something the contacts may be stuck IT HAPPENS and see if it then works.
ALSO JUST want to make sure WHEN YOU SQUEEZE the brake handle or handles The STOP LIGHTS DO COME ON?

Yes you can bypass the Killswitch, But when you squeeze the breaks YOUR STOP LIGHTS SHOULD COME ON, that is what sends the juice to the RELAY so the start button works. Did you check the FUSE on the POSITIVE WIRE cable coming off the Battery, ALso check the RELAY it may also have a Fuse on it as well. But here is your CDI and you will have to pull the KILLSWICH wire OFF the CDI. That will bypass the Kill Switch being stuck on. Alleyoop

The Kill switch will NOT FUNCTION anymore if you pull the wire off the CDI. So you will not be able to Kill the motor with the Kill Switch with the WIRE OFF THE CDI. If that is it then when you get or fix the switch you can always reconnect the WIre BACK on the CDI and you will then have the KILLSWITCH in operation again. But if you pull the KillSwitch Wire OFF the CDI and still doesn't fire then THAT IS NOT IT.
I still think its your FUSE to tell you the truth if it clicks when you squeeze the breaks. The Fuse MAY LOOK GOOD but be bad I would replace the fuse. Alleyoop
