Hi, Kiwi, I think you might consider converting a Tomos bike, not scooter, to do this. Would be a distinct advantage for those old timers! Then all they would have to do is be sure they did not fall over on the hillsides. Of course a flock of sheep might be better plus we could harvest the wool.

I have thought about getting a couple of burros myself but have too many critters here now. And all we have to do is use Kiwi's concept but with an industrial trike/bike. If your knees would hold up you would not fall off the side of the mountain. Wolfhound

But wait - I'm a tolerant man and can empathize with your lawn-mowing frustrations. You thought here was the solution, only to realize it eludes you because of goat (oops! - sorry this key-board plays up-typed old) knees.
Wait I have the design for a "mow-a-scoot" or a "scoot-a-mow" whatever you want to call it. Unfortunately it is to wet to take a photo of it today, but just hang on I'll do it as soon as the weather permits.
Kiwiscoot - in the mood to fix a problem of the world! from cold, dark & wet "Down Under".

I have had goats at one time, fun critters but they will eat every thing in your yard, shrubs, tree leaves, rose bushes, you name it and they will eat it plus they are very smart. Kiwi, this is a tough, argumentive, hard nosed group here, really hard to get along with!!!!!! 8^) I, for one, want to see your scooter mower, might convert my trike to one!!! 8^(

Hey - great idea guys - John Deere trikes with a mower attachment!
Note there is hope for us old guys. I was up at Wally World a little bit ago and met a 77 year old who was tooling around on his little SunL 150.

Now then I was called an old goat, but I think I must only be a kid at 47! LOL Just wait - the scoot-a-mow is coming. Could not get a shot a shot at it today as went to the farmer's market on the scoot with the better half on the back (use her as bait as the bright pink jacket makes the cagers careful). Got really nice goat's cheese and other cheeses, Dukkas, olive oil and bread!! Did another 100km trip and had a nice picnic. That's live on two wheels for ya! kiwiscoot - working on that scoot-a-mow aka mow-a-scoot.
