Save your money and put it away to buy the best quality of these parts and then sell your old 50cc machine and combine the moneys and get at least a good quality 150cc. Lots of reasons but my guess is you have to make the mistake before you can understand them.
Good luck lefty2

There ARE real performance parts .. they are made by NCY, Hoco and Ruima, Prodigy, Dr. Pulley, Gates and Bando etc
Tune your CVT first .. the engine costs lots of money for little return...
For what you are spending just buy a 150cc..you will top out at about 55mph...and you still won't be able to ride it on any freeways...
90% of performance parts only do a performance on your wallet.. it takes your money out FAST!!!
Most are crap...

The more you work your poor engine with "performance " parts , the sooner it dies !!! those parts may increase the envelope but it will give you shorter engine life ( higher strain , rpms) ! They can be mean sometimes to ones engine and tranny when those performance parts go toast ! will c.

i already have 155cc it does 75mph, back in the day honda had 50-65cc engines that could 50-65mph. I have a friend who is a very skilled engine tech. I'm looking for a solid 45mph will all around good performance.
and some of this stiff is pure poppy cock like the more mods the sooner it dies, if that's the case stay out of the garage if it's too hot.
any a friend is very skilled tech i already got a killer port job on the intake for free it really helped. it seems like CVT may be the way to go. i already have some bbk stuff on hand including a 63cc HIGH C:R piston.
longevity is a concern and is being accounted for and some modification for lower temps already made.
some of this another story. So far i think sprocket had just about hit the nail on the head. i want to hear more about mods that works money aside say i'm a spoiled rich kid and money doesn't matter, not that all Chinese parts are bad.

It runs like champs and will can make the header glow. It honestly doesn't give a s*. I've never found many places big enough to do top speed runs. Any who back on topic i found this a third the labor at nearly the same price. www.mbe-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/19_106_2/products_id/150EDIT: has any had any experience with after market torq sheeves to they make for a higher top end ratio? and has any one used/installed after market shocks? i have the same scoot as terrilee except it has a 49cc.

I love it. always has someone who knows so much he almost knows nothing got to argue the obvious. Go for it guy. Bet you never had a boss that knew s--t too
No wonder you make the big bucks.
In the meantime, you want to go faster, buy something the factory built to go faster.
Cheers lefty2

That didn't really make much sense to me.
It seems the vote does to NCY products.
EDIT: I'm guessing that is an Insult, all i can say is that's not you, you're nice guy I have seen your other posts.
I'm not really trying to get in any arguments, so I apologize. It is just that I like a challenge and to be different. the 50c doesn't get much love and that why I love it. Besides where i'm from you have to license 150s, so i'd like to up my 50 but, not by much just a little bit.
It is partially my fault i should probably have mod merge this with my thread "faster" and i could have been more clear on what i wanted to like what an after market torq sheave does and ask why they have larger diameter face or if after market shock help to make a smoother ride.
So I apologize for offending any or not making since. i understand what I am trying to do may not be very cost affective how ever I am trying to make something different and I do honestly get a little bit of a freed ride on cost mainly the scoot it's self was free(front end was almost totaled[fixed with blow torch]) and some machine work and porting (friends), so it's not like i'm trying to burn money.
I'm just trying to learn and have fun and be a little different that all.

THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT
good luck, have fun, dont get arrested

I've never had a dui in my life, i'd never touch the wheel or handle bar intoxicated, thats how people get hurt, my uncle nearly killed him self when i was little due to drinking and driving . Besides people install BBKs all the time and you guys don't start telling them to buy a 150 and that they have DUIs, don't be such a debby downer, in the end aren't we all into scoots for fun as well as work/transportation.
Also they say there is no replacement for displacement, this is true but, extra compression sure does go a long way. They have a whole slew of options for any thing 47mm and above but, mostly 150cc gy6.
form what i can see there are a ton of quality options for you 150 guys. i'd like try stay and small bore mainly because 150s are notably bigger frame wise and I'm short also for mpg my thinking is it's a smaller bore so it can only suck up so much air and fuel depending RPMs.
So i'm trying to consider other mods to do, which i have tons of ideas for now it is coming down what can i buy for it that may be useful and we have already cover bbks and cvt but, not what is best mod on the cvt.
perf carbs seem be nothing more than fairy tales as well CDIs and coils. Cams exist how ever not many people really talk about those much they seem to just buy a bbk kit and take what ever cam it comes with.
Every one seems to sell air filters and jets but, i don't really think at 49cc a high flow filter is gonna jack. Weights seem to be hot ticket item they are certainly cheap enough, i don't think quality matters with weights does it? what about these supposed hot rod variators?
otherwise it seems like i'm gonna have do some experimenting and report back.

ok i understand you are wanting to be def. just be real about what you want out of the 50cc scooter and that will be a big start the torque leeve you are asking about will change the reation to the power curve of the motor it will not give any more speed but will help in the way the power is put to the pavement if you live in an area that is mostly flat then you can change the rollers and torque spring to get of the line slower but will give just a little more top end or you can get more take off and lose a little top end like all motors the more air and feul goes in the more you need more you have to get out the better you get the balance of what goes in and out the better your performance will be

actually that torq sheeve sounds usefully then, i'm not wanting much out of it after modification just little umph and maybe a few more mph. i already have a 63cc jug and piston and honda s65 piston which may or may not fit. i may resell them on ebay and the NCY 63cc bbk with complete with head and cam or just stick with what have.
if what you say about the torq sheeve is true then it sounds i like have something to gain with combo of weights and torq sheev. I was also thinking about making/preparing a road side emergency kit encase i ever have a belt break again. (i don't always have a cellphone)

Well here is the bottom line SPEED will cost you fuel. So if your looking to skimp on fuel leave it alone. If you go into the motor, even just a Free Flow Filter, or even run it at higher rpms it will suck up More gas. Alleyoop
