I have a 2009 Jonway that has Zhajaing JMSTAR Shenke on the Manufacturers plate that i bought used with about 600 miles on it, although the odometer is really recording kilometers, not miles. The scooter tends to try to stall at higher speeds, although it never totally stalls out. Does anybody have an idea of what this could be? Also, the throttle handle broke, rather easily i may add. When I tried to unscrew the shroud, one of the screws stripped out. I am surprised at how quickly this bike is starting to break down. At the same time I bought the Jonway, I also bought a 2004 Honda Metropolitan which is an excellent quality bike, so it proves that you get what you pay for. But I am hoping that Forums like this continue to gather knowledge so the expensive of maintaining Chinese Scooter can be kept affordable.

Another problem might be fuel starvation. Replace your fuel filter, you can get a replacement at any place that sells lawn mower parts like Lowes and Tractor Supply. Also check your fuel lines and you might need to clean your carb.
Yes, you get what you pay for. A Chinese scoot can be an adventure and a learning experience. It can be frustrating and rewarding. Folks that don't want to put up with the hurdles of owning one should be prepared to pony up the bucks. Rich

Also check the tip of your sparkplug ! If it is cream ( or white) colored at the tip your too lean and need to adjust it before you put a hole in your piston !! .A dark black plug means your running too rich .Ideal color is a medium tan to dark brown color . Just my 2 cents worth !

One other thing for thought is if it is running out of fuel at full throttle it could be the fuel pump or petcck is not letting enough fuel through. On my 150 it was running out of gas. Turned out the fuel pump was not pumping at WOT. A slight vacuum leak can do that, at WOT there is little vacuum to start out and a slight leak will stop it pumping and as soon as you let off the throttle it will start pumping again.
