Have you done a valve adjustment (needs to be done cold) some scooters need valve adjustment from the factory , then like every thousand miles .

Hi Mself52, I responded to your PM before I saw this so I will also update the thread.
Sounds like the CONTRA Spring or Clutch Bearing is shot and will not open the Clutch Pulleys so as you rev it and the belt tries to climb up the Variator the CLUTCH PULLEYs are not opening and puts a load on the motor and it dies.
So take the cover off and try to open the Clutch pulley and see if you can pull the Outer Pulley towards you. If you can get a Video of it running and giveing it a little throttle to see what its doing but I think that is the problem. Alleyoop
P.S John is correct if you want to get more RPMS you need lighter weights.
Try to get the rpms to climb MAX 7000-7500 anywhere in there were you get good acceleration and good top end.

really hoping alleyoop stops by and reads this John speaks very highly of you and says you know your stuff.... so please help well now i have a new problem.... i took the sliders out and put in the 12g rollers it was awesome i was hitting 57mph in very short flat distance went less then 2 miles and had to slow down for a red light.... after the light turned green i turn the throttle to go and the scooter dies like it ran out of gas....it cranked right back up and when i rev'd it died again...tried 10 times same result seems like as soon as it should start rolling the engine dies... i took off the cvt cover and the clutch isnt engaging... ever had this happen or know whats up? im at work after pushing my scooter for 2.6miles back home and stressing out on whats wrong with it to fix tonight need any ideas.... If the clutch was not engaging, then there would be no load on the engine. The CVT would freewheel and the rear wheel would not turn. This would not cause the engine to stall. If the contra spring broke or the driven sheaves stayed open for whatever reason, then the rollers would come out their tracks when you slowed down. Trying to accelerate from a dead stop would be like trying to drive away in top gear with a car. This might cause the engine to stall. A possibility is that the lighter weights allowed the belt to ride higher in the variator and since the rear sheaves were opened farther, they may have jammed open. This problem could be compounded by a weak contra spring like Alley said. A picture of the CVT would be useful here. It does sound like you might be servicing the clutch (checking the contra spring and lubing the clutch bushing) and resetting the rollers.

Ok, It appears your VARIATOR is stuck, it looks like the belt is Up on the Variator and Has the Clutch pulley opened and as you start it YOUR WHEEL is spinning really good.
So take the Variator off and check the weights and GUIDE, Since the last time you were going downhill and it was really cranking i think the Weights are out of Position and mayabe the Guidles as well. That would cause the Variator to NOT RETRACT all the way back to drop the belt down and allow the Clutch pulley to close.
Notice the Belt on the CLUTCH PULLEY is pretty far down between the PULLEYS. That is because the BELT in the VARIATOR is being held up high on the FRONT PULLEYS and pulling the CLUTCH pullesy apart causeing your clutch to engage right away and turning your wheel. Alleyoop

Well I took off the variator and everything seems fine I put graphite all over it and put back on same thing took it off again and put in the old variator slides and plate goes up to 3k rpm and shuts off I pulled the clutch off the pads are pretty rough but all the springs seem to be attached but didn't have a tool to get the big nut off....I really don't get it

Watch this Video and see if YOUR VARIATOR moves in and out. The belt on the REAR CLUTCH PULLEY should be NEAR THE TOP and the Front Belt should be DOWN in the Variator IF it is not SOMETHING is not right. ALso when you start it the rear wheel is spinning and that is because the BELT is down on the CLUTCH PULLEY and UP ON THE VARIATOR.
So If the belt is not right even after you took the Variator off and LET ME ASK THIS does it move in and out like it SHOULD? DID you pulley the REAR PULLEY OUT and see if it also moves in and out. Alleyoop

Mine stays near the center of the variator never gets larger in front and smaller on clutch...the variator slides till I put on the belt then I can't tell cuz there is no slack the belt stays at the edge of the clutch and near the center of the variator

With the scoot on the center stand, I don't think the engine should stall when accelerating even if the variator is messed up. Did you try running the engine with the CVT belt off to see if it accelerates normally?
