50mpg on a 50cc!! crap I get that on my HOPPED UP 150 Trike and I am not gentle on it either.
Are you sure your not looseing fuel dropping it maybe out of the drain hose or something. Either that or your running a hell of a lot RICH or someone is stealing fuel on you. You should be up at least around 80MPG. Alleyoop

One thing that does screw up calculations is that most of the speedometer's may be off some on mph but the odometer is generally in km. It makes a big case for getting an add on speedo if you are into to max MPG. I don't care for digital speedometers but if they were OEM you could calibrate for the correct reading as well as when you change tire sizes.
If that 50's odometer is in KM and you are not taking that into account it will be even less mpg. john

I checked milage with my truck. I rode 38 miles and drove the same route with my truck. Both came out exactly the same on the odometer. But my mph seems a tad off still- when I run 55 mph well my speed seems like 47 mph. Trucks and cars pass me more often. So I ride 65 mph and cars and trucks don't bother passing.

Alleyoop i ride it very aggressively. Usually wide open throttle quite often, could that be the cause? Cause i know i am not leaking any fuel, and wouldn't my revs sound weird, or just not r Un smooth if it was running really rich?

Now it is getting around 36 MPG . I never see any fuel dripping so idk what is wrong :0. this low fuel economy on my scooter is really frustrating me, especially since it should be getting more than double that and now it is getting expensive. It runs great just sucks up gas now. Could it be that i put in a new fuel filter? It is bigger than the stock fuel filter but is meant for small engines like lawn mowers, and snow mobiles, but because it is bigger than the stock one, i don't know if that could be it. or could it be because i constantly ride the scooter at wide open throttle? 36 MPG just seems really really absurdly low to me.
