The 110/90 12 fitted good. That is the size in the Roketa Manual that came with the scooter. The only thing about adding a 120/70 12 is the 120 mm is more than 10% wider than the 4.00- which every motorcycle site said, it could fall off the rim and be very dangerous. A 110 mm tire is 7.8% more wide than 4.00 inches. People can read it on the web..

I have not figured out how to tell rpm's on my Roketa Bali scooter. The less rpm's the better fuel economy. I don't have my engine sounding to mean sounding. Quiet... Mine has no rpm guage. But I think the lower the sound, the higher the speed one can travel. I guess at my rpm.. To low it will not run, to high and the scooter sounds like I am racing the engine standing still. Something in between so it will continue to run..

I own a 250 scooter. Wife owns a 250 Honda Rebel. We rode all the way to Illinois and both cruised the same speed. I like scooters better because no shifting. Definately my scooter is faster on take off, but over all speed her bike is faster by 10 mph.. But mine with now roller weights, new clutch and belt might be faster still. Mine is going on 6 years old and hers- 1 year old. So her component are still in great condition where mine are worn. She had a scooter but felt the ground was hard to reach, thus got a Rebel with a low seat.

A bit confused. I was reading online, where switching sizes on tires can be bad or good, depending on correctly converting sizes . What is bad is if you buy a tire, 10% wider or thinner, because the tire could come off the rim. They had a motorcycle converting chart. So I looked up the right width conversion for my scooter. My scooter tire size is 4.00 x 12 and it said 110/90 in metric is the conversion for 3.75/ 4.00 in inches. So I ordered a new 110/90 12 tire for my scooter.
Well the tire came in.. Only cost $35 with free shipping. It was wider than the 4.00 tire by 1/3rd of a inch. So anyhow the new tire was only 7.8% wider- thus the tire would be interchangable. So I took off the front tire off my scooter. The new tire is slightly small in diameter, which is good.
Now Roketa has most confused about tire size. The OEM manual says 110/90 12 for front tire.. On the Bali 250 it has a plate- on it says 120/70 12 for front tire. On the tire( after changing front tire) says 4.00 12. I could swear a metric tire came with the origanal scooter( owned it since new). It was a street tire and they sent me a 4.00 12 tire. A 120/70 tire would be to wide for the front tire- a inch wider and over 10%. Also the online motorcycle tire article said, the aspect should not be less than 80%.
The 110/90 12 tire is rated P for 94 mph, rated 64 for 613 lbs load capacity( remember the wieght of scooter, rider and any equipment or passengers affects this). I am a lone rider, weight 180 lbs., bike weight 272 lbs, and gas and oil 16 lbs, luggage 25 lbs.. But said 4 ply tire on Amazon and is 6 P.R Reinf. I will be doing around 65 mph max so really don't worry about a blowout. It is 41 lbs of max pressure. It is a front tire also. I got 2 new Shinko tires- because the tire companies recommend a person don't mix match tires.
If for some reason the tire hits the fender, I will remove my fender and put on a smaller one.. What are your thoughts?

I hear when the roller weights make noise when start wearing out. I have sort of the same problem. Can't figure it out, but I will replace roller weights and while in there, replace clutch and belt. I don't hear it at highway speed nor idle, but mainly at 5 to 10 mph. Sometimes hear it and sometime not. Roller weights will not leave you stranded- the only thing bad roller weights do is slow you down. The noise comes from the crankcase and I hear it when I turn left.. I rode 250 miles and still running good and than moved to Illinois and rode 120 miles and still runs good. So it is dependable still..

I have a problem finding the correct tires for my MC-13-250. The rear tire is a 120/90 10 tire, rated J for 62 mph, load capacity 661 lbs.. I searched for this and could not locate it anywhere on a web.. It is like Roketa quit making the MC-13-250. I bought a 120/90 10 but it was rated P for 75 mph and had a load capacity of 507 lbs.. P is good but 507 lbs is not to great. Scooter weighs 271 lbs, my weight is 185 lbs, 3 gallons of gas, quart of oil, antifreeze, my gear- excluding saddlebags weighs approx. 480 lbs. Getting close to max weight. The front tire is a 4.00 x 12 or mm 110/90 12 tire with J and 660 lbs load limit. But again can't find the tire. So I am thinking of buying 110/90 12 rated P for 93 mph and load capacity 613 lbs.. A person I spoke to only said it should work- my concern is SHOULD. The person stated the front tire at 613 should equal out the weight difference. Also I bought the tire off Amazon ( 8 month old tire) but a warning saying if load index or speed rating is not the same or greater, that this could be dangerous. Speed rating is above but load limit is below. Roketa sold my parts but not in the correct color- indicating they are getting no new parts in on the MC-13-250. Last time I ordered a tire, they sent me a 3 year old tire. Right now it is 6- almost 7 years old. It makes me fear ordering from Roketa, because they might send me a 5 year old tire. What are your thoughts on what I am saying? Attachments:

I registered my Bali 250 today. Went about 10 miles on the 70 mph highway to have my scooter inspected at Larry's Honda.. Got done and rode 6 miles to the Dept of Revenue- Licensing Bureau building, in downtown Jefferson City, MO.. Brought all the paperwork in and showed a young lady that I had everything. She said," I can't register your scooter, because it is not on the tax paid form. I had registered my wifes Honda Rebel last month, but it was not on tax papers neither. Someone goofed.. So we called the county collector to see what vehicles were on her piece of paper. She said, the Roketa and Honda were on the paperwork, but that they forgot to charge taxes on them. So we had to drive another 45 miles to pay the taxes and register the scooter. Since it was the county assessors office that made the error, well they did not charge late fees to us. It made it o.k.. because I owed a late fee for the scooter, due to last month, my scooter was damaged in a thunderstorm. So saved $25.. ;D It made a 45 mile trip worth it...lol

I moved the led lights, after reading Missouri law stating- all lighting must be max height of 42 inches and no lower than 12 inches. The lights on the mirrors went above that, but they came with the scooter. The led lights are separate( not to the scooter) so Missouri could fine one for not following guide lines. So I put them in a low area.

The Honda Rebel is a 2009 left over. Got it new for my wife. A little over 100 miles on it now. The Honda Rebel was left over from 2009, due to the recession. Bought it off of Stalmans Powersports in Rolla MO.. Traded in her Yamaha 49CC scooter and got approved for payments. I owe a year of payments.

Here is my scooter, after fixing it up, after thunderstorm blew it over.. It was originally blue but could not get the helmet shield in blue. So got it in white, and custom 2 toned it. I bought new diamond shaped mirrors... Put led lights on windshield. I still got to put on chrome on front fender and around windshield, buy a security alarm that has independent power source. ;D Attachments:
