Don't feel bad. I was reading a report on the International Bike Show in New York City. At the end there's a place to post comments and don't you know the usual cast of Harley morons start writing "Too much rice covered in this story. Where are all the Real Bikes like my wonderful Harley and not throw-away Jap bikes." or words to that effect. I wrote that the Gold Wing is Japanese and last likes a freight train. It's just their way of compensating for spending too much money on not much motorcycle.

Well I have to say they are very nice around here, heck I had one guy come after me to find out what kind of Trike it was and check it out. I pulled off on a side road and we chatted for awhile. They always say hello to me with the hand signals as we pass each other and I do the same. Many times they pull next to me at a stop lights and chat and ask lots of questions and tell me it is cool. Haven't had one bad experience yet with the Motorcycle guys. And I am not talking about your hubby and wife types I mean these guys are wearing their bandanas tattoes all up and down their arms and dago T-shirts or their leather vests with stuff over it leather stampping boots etc.. Guess it all depends on where you live, some are bad to the bone types but most are not. Alleyoop

They're not all bad, but I have to wonder who they think they're fooling. I had a guy on a 1970s Harley Low Rider checking out my Cub clone and he thought it was great. He had spent vast sums of money on his bike to make it into a reliable runner and was honest about its shortcomings. I just get very turned off by the "If I have to explain it to you then you just don't understand" crowd.

I have never been harassed by them. I usually get the low wave. I have many come up beside me and ask what I get per mile.

I know several people that work in the Harley plant here in Kansas city and none of them bad mouth my Chinese scoots. Most Harley owners don't realize how much of their bikes are made in another country.

I pulled my little 49cc TaoTao up next to one at a 7-11 when I first got it last summer (actually got a photo of our two "bikes" together). He had a brand new Harley, something ridiculous like 1,800 cc. I said, "You wanna race?" He said in a thick, European accent, "I'd never win." I nodded and said, "Well, I like to give everybody a fair chance." He was a cool dude.

Most people think the Trikes are cool no matter what they ride. As for scooters.... Heck I have had remarks from motor cycle guys even on my Honda reflex....They just love Motor Cycles and scooters are just mopeds to them no matter how big, Chino or Japan matters not to them. Just ride them save gas and enjoy.... Heck I may even get a larger one, looking at a trade for the Magnum 300 trike and a little cash for a 2010 Silver Wing 650 twin - Scooter...

Me neither. I spent way less for my Fashion with a scant 1850 miles.

To each his own as they say, not everyone likes the same things. Take me for instance I think the Morpheus scoots are ugly as sin and gay looking. I mean even the name is funky and gay, they are couch potatoes for people that are afraid of heights Alleyoop
