I bought my first scooter today and I want to put a storage trunk on it so I can haul my purse and lunch bag to work. It didnt come with one and when I was talking to the dealer he showed my the basic ones that normally come with them and others. He said the basic ones tend to make noise as you drove. Had various one there and that I could order. What I would like to know is your recommendations on this....What is good and quiet? This it what it'll go on Thanks Attachments:

You might also want to have one big enough to carry your helmet and any riding gear you may want to leave in the trunk while at work. That may include gloves, leather jacket, chaps, whatever. If you have enough room at work then carry them inside if you want. Right now I leave my helmet and gloves in the trunk when not riding. Just be sure to lock the trunk when not riding and using the trunk for storage of items. .

Best temp bags are the cheapest. At walmart they sell black nylon shopping bags, they used to go for 50cents. tie two together and sit on handles for saddle bags, hang one or two off the handle bars and a case of coke laying on the floor boards. I can carry more like that on my 150 than I can with the huge under seat storage that the 400 has. I always carry them on scooter just in case.

Would hate to be out and about with no way of hauling...I will honestly admit that I may go to store planning on buy x number of things but buy 5 extra things not planned...Do it all the time LOL ;D

Hey Leftway, checkout my post in pic's forum from Sept. 2012. I'm not recommending you build your own trunk but the side bags were a breeze. Went to the local thrift store and picked up a couple soft attache cases (messenger bags in today's vocab. Guess I'm showing my age) for $5 total. Not each. The shoulder straps just attach to each bag and go under the seat. That makes them secure and less likely to be stolen. I use mine all the time, even to go camping. At high speeds I need to put a bungee on them to keep them from flapping in the wind but that's it.
