If the coil is bad he wouldn't have spark i figure, i still say cdi.

Pulled the coil was wet inside the housing the owner said this was what happened before so I'm gonna roll with it and try to find one tomorrow if not then ill get the CDI! If that doesn't work he can have the scooter back!!

Oh wow just slung the coil and water was going everywhere. It is a weak spark now millsc. Thanks again to you both for your help!

Yep, the coil could still fire but with a very weak spark.

I'll wait and see the results of the coil change, last advice stay out of the water lol. If spark was weak wouldn't it at least try to fire with starting fluid  |

On the way to pick up the parts I'm going to go ahead and pick up a CDI also just to be safe!! Ill let ya know how it goes asap!

Great, hope either one or both fixs the problem and your a happy camper. If either of the old ones are good carry it in the trunk or under the seat as a spare for emergencies. I carry everything but the kitchen sink even a TOW STRAP.  Alleyoop |

Turned out it was the CDI... thanks again for all the help guys this is a great forum!! Ill be sure and send anyone I know with scooter problems this way! Tons of em around here! Wish you guys the best!
