Does anyone know if there are any kits for a 1965 60cc Allstate Compact ? I am rebuilding one and would love to kit it out and make it fly. I was told they can't be kitted out, but I just have to believe somewhere out there, there is a kit that can go on this motor. Any ideas?

Here it is as of last week. Once it is all back together I am going to build a side care for it, hopefully it will be kitted and have more power for the side car. Attachments:

It would be great to see more on your project. Do you know who made the scooter for Sears to sell? If you can find that out you can probably find out if that company has somebody making speed parts for it.

Those are pretty cool scoots! I would like to restore one and will if I can ever find one. Heres a pic of my Allstate[Vespa} i did last year. The novelty of a Sears badge is really cool alot of people werent aware that Sears sold scooters,mo peds motorcycles, cars, and even houses in a kit form. Attachments:

I've bought a few things from Scooter Works. This guy does your regular scooter parts but also has vintage parts, and some vintage performance parts! How cool is that? You make your way to this page and then pick your make. So click "Allstate" and you end up here. There's only, as expected a few BBK kits. They're for a Vespa but I get the impression that works with Allstate. Further, this guy is really into vintage and would love to help you out, just send him an e-mail and he'll get back to you.

Thanks for the replies. As for more pictures, more are on the way. I had to stop working on it for a bit, but ordered some new parts. Once I get some tires under her, I will post more. Right now I am looking for a speedometer. Any hints as to where I can look for and get that would be great. I hope to get these things noticed. Down Here in Fort Lauderdale, I would love to see more on the road.

It's pronounced Pook, like Winnie the Pooh but with a k at the end.
