Ar. is similar in that to up the registration you will need to prove personal property taxes paid, proof of insurance and dates of coverage. I believe all states should require ins. to plate them. It doesn't cost all that much to insure one and if some one hits me and damages me or my property I expect to be compensated. (even if they kill them selves doing the damage)

With a car it really irks me to have to pay for uninsured and under insured coverage....paying for coverage a slacker should have had to buy. john

Well those PA rules are going to cause a lot of problems for anything bigger than a 50cc scoot.
Brake horsepower is the rating at the crankshaft before any gears come into play or in the case of scooters CVT comes into play. Just about all your 150s are rated at 8+HP.

I wonder who thinks this stuff up?

CRITERIA:

1. Engine may not exceed 50 cubic centimeters.
2. Engine may not exceed 1.5 brake horsepower rating.

Most 50cc engines are rated in the 3-4 bhp range. To keep it under 1.5 bhp The engine would need to be in the 15-25cc range.

Remember now, this comes from the same group of folks that just returned my latest batch of title applications that we filled out " in the dealership name" and asked for a copy of the "applicants" photo ID. !! I wonder if I step outside and take a picture of the dealership front door, will that suffice?
