I just installed the tires on my majesty. 2 1/2 hours, not too bad for a 70 year old. ( I don't get in a hurry for anything today not even lunch) I ended up with 3,500 miles on them both pretty much worn the same. Before any one starts knocking pirelli diablo tires for low miles you got to take in to account the roads around here, almost all are chip and seal which amounts to gluing razor sharp chips to the last coat of that crap. I still had more than legal tread left and I value my butt more than a few thousands of tread life. (I am sure some would have got an other 1k and rode them down to the threads.) Total cost, $115 for a pair ready to roll on. motorcycle super store had a sale end of feb I bought them and they been sitting. left them out in the sun as well as the scooter while I ate lunch. john

Luke you got more guts than me....a dunlop is the worst tire made! I wore out a lot of bridgestones in my day with no complaints. As far as being proud of a jap scooter I would if I had one to be proud of. Maybe some day if honda should make a scooter I liked. You have no idea how bad a design a majesty is and I would dump it in an instant except I have a $1000 more in it than what it is worth. After Having to wait a month and a half for yamaha to supply a piston and rings in the middle of riding season, I will never buy a yamaha product again. I am not the only one who has had that problem either. Parts for the motorcycles are also next to impossible to obtain. I will say it does run right now and is a nice ride now that it is working again. Parts for chinese scooters can be had next day for the most part, yamaha is at least 8 days. dealers do not carry parts.

Some say it isn't fair to compare a worn out tire to a different brand of new tire but I have changed tires many times where the tire was either new or almost new to a better brand tire and I know the difference. Nails in a tire with 400 miles require a new tire, especially on a crotch rocket. When I bought a new aspencade, (1986 gold wing model) I took it back to the dealer the next week and made them replace the dunlop on the front only to have the same poor handling as before. I then took it to an independent dealer and had them replace the tires with another brand which was a world of difference in handling. I will never be stupid enough to ride on a tire I don't trust.

well, you need to blame whichever Government Beureau who approved those tires to be circulated in the market with that kind of quality., i mean what i have on my scoot are bridgestone and dunlop, had them for one and a half years now, i notice that it wears quick compared to the original tire that i had, but no major thing like blow out at high speed etc. recently my front tire got pinch with a 3inch nail, it got stuck , i pulled it, i didn't patch it,no nothing, it's been 2 weeks now and surprisingly it still holds air ,i didn't even inflate it. it's a great tire after all huh?!!! whadaya'll think???
and the quality of roads here in arizona are superb(unlike in arkie, ooops ;D), not spiny and spiky..LOL

Yep, that is what cheap tires do wear out, year and a half on good roads yet, my my. As they say Pay me now or keep paying every 1 1/2 years for the same cheap tires. Alleyoop

I have never had problems with bridgestones and have probably had a dozen or more. Had them on my gold wing, silver wing, went thru several sets of battle axes on my bandit 1200cc too. Dunops no.... and I feel you could not make or buy anything worse period. Hard as a rock, rides like on railroad tracks, and most important when you go to lean hard you feel it in your stomach and just like you are going to fall. Those reviews seem to be all on car tires. I would have no problem putting a bridgestone on any of my scooters. Wear is not my primary concern........I want a tire that won't slide out from under me or pound my hemorrhoids up against my tonsils. I doubt if any bike tire is going to blow out no matter who makes them unless there has been some bad abuse. The front had a screw in it and almost zero pressure and I could still ride it but handled like sh it. I had a valve stem break off when I got the old yamaha and it was wot on the highway....old old tires too...rode it down to where I could use the brakes and safely stop. No air left in it and it stayed on the rim too. john

I'll take my chances. The only reason I went with an expensive tire is because changing them on a scooter stinks. Pull off the body panel, take off the whole exhaust system, take off the swingarm bracket, take off the wheel nut, pull the collar inside and out, finally-three hours later-remove the wheel. Reverse some time after greasing and loctiting. Oh, did I mention letting out the air to get it past an oil fill or shock? If this tire doesn't last the next one will be a Kenda or Shinko. My bikes are/were so much easier.
