Hello all, I am a new scooter owner and new to the forum. Like the title says I just bought a Roma 150 sport bike look alike scooter. It is not currently running, so I am sure you all will see lots of me here. My first question is does anyone know if the standard fuel pump for a 150 will work for this bike? The fuel pump on it looks very different than the standard one and all the ones I find that look like it say they work on a 250 water cooled scooter. Thanks for any input on this bike and very curious to hear any input!

Does it have a Carb or is it fuel injected? Is the top a gas tank? if so it may just have a PETCOCK since the gas has to flow downhill to the carb. Take a picture of the Fuel pump on it and see if it has a VACUUM hose connected to it. They make all kinds of Vacuum Petcocks and Fuel Pumps so it could just be a different size and or shape. It has a carb. Its not a fuel tank mounted pump. Has two mounting holes unlike the common ones I have found. It does have a vacuum line going to it. Will post a picture of the pump tommorow. Thanks for the help!

So long question short do you think one of the cheap ones that have only one mounting hole will work for this? Then ones I have found that are similar ton what's on it say they fit a 250 liquid cooled engine and are way more expensive. Thanks.

That does look like mine. Any idea where to get one for the best price?

Let me ask this, is this pump above the carb or below the carb. Alleyoop

It is about the same level as the carb, and it looks like it pumps gas up to a small resevor that has a cap on it which feeds the carb. Will post a pic in the morning.

That looks almost like it, but has the extra gas line out. The description says it can be left blocked so I think it would work. Thanks again for the help!

Well, got a new fuel pump and its not working either. Is there anything simple that people usually miss with these things?

The VACUUM line going to it from the intake it needs VACUUM to work. Take a picture of the carb area and the hoses going to the pump to and from the intake manifold. Did you test it? Take the vacuum line off not at the pump but up further whereever it attachs to and take the FUEL LINE off the carb and put it in a CONTAINER. THEN SUCK ON THE VACUUM LINE and gas should come out or leave the vacuum line connected and crank the motor over and gas should flow out into the container. Alleyoop
