Today I had a dog chasing me on gravel and he dove under my front wheel. Have not seen the scooter but I imagine it is bent up on the front end. I really liked that scooter too. A lot more than that majesty. Just renewed the plate sticker sat afternoon on line. I have some real as sholes for neighbors here that let all their dogs run loose so every one can enjoy. Dog must have crawled off as he was missing when the cop and ambulance got there. The scooter has the leading links instead of tubular forks, I am sure a tube fork would not have survived. to say I am pi ssed doesnt cover it. john

What are your injuries John? I see you're still as ornery as ever, that's a good sign. We also have some of those a-holes for neighbors, I think just about everybody does.

Bummer. I haven't met the dog stupid enough to attack my front wheel. That must be one dumb animal. You can replace the scooter, they haven't made another you.

I have noticed other times when a dog chases you if he can, he wants to get your bike between him and his house. That has happended several times to me. When I had the bandit a Rottweiler same owners as the beagle yesterday tried to cross infront of me to get me between him and his house. after he bounced off the the front tire he slid down under the engine guard and hit a couple hot exaust pipes. Should have heard him screaming after he done it. I am not dumb enough to try to hit an animal on purpose either. they try that some times with a car too. I will probably be looking for a lawyer as much as I hate them I just don't see any other solution. The a hole owes me from oct when the same dog bit me when I walked out to check mail. Oh and right now I am planning a funeral for the dog.
don't get me wrong I like most dogs, mine is over a hundred pounds and has 5 acres fenced so he can run on my property.

I jusrt walked up to get the scooter. a couple hundred feet. I should have took the tractor looped a chain and drug it back on it's side. I think every single piece of plastic on it is cracked broken or scratched. its junk. steers crooked too. i AM REALLLY PIISSED

dont despair jct, you still have the majesty, and it's waaay better than that wrecked chinese toy. let the insurance company deal with it. meanwhile enjoy the genuine-ness and the indestructable-ness of the majesty.
btw if that thing happened to the majesty there would have been no damage on you and the scooter, because its very stable. btw is the dog pitbull??

Talked with my insurance agent. I do not have full coverage on it, but he gave me the name of a blood thirsty lawyer who has sued some of the agents own clients so that I can sue the dogs owner!
I liked the chinese 150 a whole lot better than the majesty. The 150 was a real good looking scooter, I had some pictures on photobucket but I deleted them to get them off jrs forum. It turned out some pictures are still there after I deleted them so it looks like JR stole them and reposted them on another web site and linked them back to replace mine.. Nice guy.......
The reason I ended up getting the majesty was that I was first going to get a 250 or 300cc chinese, I wanted one in white and no one had one online that shipped the mso with it at the time. (jan 2010) I found a local dealer who said he was getting some but I would have to wait till may or june. I then stumbled into the yamaha stealer/dealer and like a fool bought it. I should have got a hysong 250 or 300 in my color and a flat floor board! In my 55 years of riding I have never encountered a more vile product line......current production engines same as mine yet the new piston and rings were not in stock and had to be backordered and sent from japan to me a month later. Every time I get on or off my foot drags across the hump and each time I cuss it. Have had brand new and used hondas and when I needed a part I just went to the dealer, paid and took them home, all but one thing that took 3 days, a speed sensor for a 86 goldwing.
Luke your desoto/morph may be bullet proof and all, but should you ever need a part it will take at least 8 days. If that was the chinese 150 that needed a piston I could have got one next day if I opted to pay extra for shipping. Years ago I had a greeves factory trials racer.....never heard of it? It used a villiers 250cc engine (english). I got a new piston in less than a week and that was over 40 years ago too. Yamaha dealers do not stock scooter parts. Can you imagine how many cars chevy or ford would sell with that kind of service? Or an oil change that takes 10 days like when you take a yamaha in to the stealer?

ok jc, i'm enlightened now...thanks! ...this leads to my next question --->to ALL members here who owns 2 or more scooters,i have a question and this has been bugging me for a long time: Scooters a meant to be a cheap transportation because it is cheap to buy and very economical in gas, this is what most of us here wants about scooters, but my question is this, is it practical and sensible to own 2 or more scooters(if you are the only one riding in your family) ? considering that you have to register all of them and renew every year, pay for their insurance, pay for the gas(3x) and 3 scooters takes so much space in the garage., i mean. it being a cheap transportation now even become more expensive if you have 3 scooters, consider also that you can't ride them all at the same time,,I mean it defeats the purpose,, right?? you know where i'm getting at? ps: yes i have 2 scooters but im selling the other one soon. don't let this happen to your scooty----> negligence

I like having 2 as I have one Honda 2 wheeler and a trike. Sometimes I just like riding a trike and my wife likes riding on the back on the trike better than the Honda. Insurance is only about $200 a year for both. Room, yes I am running out of room as I have the trike, Honda Reflex and the Electric GEM car. All but the Honda are now up for sale as I am going to find a larger Honda.. Just hard to fork out the bread if you know what I mean.

Sorry to hear about your accident with the dog.
Luke, I have 2 scooters a 50cc that I don't have to register every year ect.. I do have insurance on it even though I am not required to , but do just in case. I use it for short trips, To stores, fast food places, friends that live close, ect.. All within 5-10 miles of home. I have been known to ride it more than a 100 miles a trip though. Sometimes I just cruise around the neighbor hood, (speed limit only 25) I like to check out the hood and see whats new ect. I like it for just putting around because it gets a little better gas mileage than the 300. I have the 300 for longer trips that I may have to ride 45 - 70 mph. Even though I can only ride one at a time, each has a purpose.

We have three working two wheelers in the garagae. The Fashion, the Rebel and the 50cc bike. My insurance is so cheap it's not even an issue. The Fashion and 50cc cost under $30 a year-each. The Rebel, being a big, bad Motorcycle costs about $85 annually. Registration for all is under $20 apiece. When I lived on Long Island they would have cost many, many, many hundreds more to insure.
As John knows, who wants to drag a 400 pound Desoto three miles for a loaf of bread. His 150 was perfect for that and I'll bet that a certain Morphous stays in the garage for milk runs. To me a 200cc Honda Cub would be the perfect bike. Space for a milk crate on back, enough ponies for the interstate and an engine hanging in space for easy valve adjustments, but alas, that's a fantasy bike.
