So now that I have my scooters wiring all fixed up, I want to do a small project. I got an LED strip from my friend, and I want to wire them to my ignition, so that when I turn my ignition on, they light up under my bike. So...Generally speaking, when you turn the key on, what's the best wire to take power from so that I can power these LED's? I'll post pictures when I'm done

You shpuld have 4 wires , red , black , green and black/white .
Your switched power wire is black . That is the one you need to splice off of .

You can also just splice it into your taillights THE BROWN WIRE. So when your taillights come on so will the LEDS. Alleyoop

does the LED strip run directly from power you are going to tap into or does it have a LED driver/ballast which you will be making a harness for?

Most led strips are sold for 12dc so all you do is wire them up to a 12v source. I have seen some for other than 12v but they are marked for the voltage they need.
And watch it if you get blue. most states get on your case big time if blue lights can be seen from out side the vehicle. especially if they blink! Cops don't like competition in the lighting dept.
