Hey all! ;D Just wanted to share a couple of pics of my ALMOST completed 2012 SSR Verona aka the Znen Classic ZN150T-E. Here is a list of the modifications that I have done so far: • NCY 170cc BBK • Taiwanese 62mm head • Performance CDI • NGK Iridium Plug • Performance Spark Plug Wire • Custom Cold Air Intake • Uni Foam Filter • EGR Blockoff • Oko 30mm CVK Carb • Gates CVT Belt • Plasti-dipped Wheels • Prima Whitewalls (100/90-10) Things I still want to modify: • Complete handlebar setup (superbar conversion) • 10x7 Fatty Tire Setup • Custom exhaust • Complete CVT upgrade and here are some pics: So with the mods I have done so far I can maintain a speed of 60-65mph at WOT, and about 45-50mph comfortably depending on the terrain. I love the looks that I get from people on the road when they see a retro scoot fly by them! I'd love to here what you all think. Let me know!

This is my first post here. That's a great looking scooter. I have a lot to learn about all the mods and things. Your scooter looks just like the one I got my wife. Here's is red and white but you have a more retro look. What is a "NCY 170cc BBK"?
I say again GREAT looking ride!

To answer your question, BBK stands for Big Bore Kit so I swapped out my stock top end for a larger piston and bigger intake and exhaust ports to bump my CC's to somewhere around 170cc. ;D And let me tell ya... the scoot is now alive after doing that!

That's lovely! You've done a really good job there. Have a look at my pictures in one of the other threads. (I didn't bother getting my SLR out for them though, sorry). I have a scooter called a Sinnis Spirit which is another rebranded ZNEN classic style so very similar to yours. However it's a 125 being from the UK. I'd like mine to go a little faster. It will cruise at 45mph, but the drive train seems to vibrate a little after 50mph. Feels like the gearing needs changing.

Been drooling over that scooter since you posted its picture. It would be a shame for me to ride one like it around here with the dirt roads I have to go on to get from house to the highway to town.

How's the suspension on yours; do you find it quite crashy? I'd say it's one of the let downs on my Znen. I'm not sure I'd feel safe on mine at 60mph, even though I wish it would cruise at that speed. It would be so useful here in the UK.
Also, do you find you get a bit of vibration at around 50mph from the belt area?
Finally, with your mods did you manage to get a tachometer so you can see what revs it is doing etc for tuning the drive?

A tach is an upgrade that I want to do next because I do need to know what the revs are at to fine tune it more. The suspension is a bit soft, I'll agree with you on that one, and I also feel the vibrating from the belt area also... no idea why. That's something to definitely look into.

Yeah, now I've got up the courage to go over 50mph the belt area vibration seems to die back down again. I just feel like I may be over revving the engine at that speed so wouldn't want to run it that long. Tyre pressures make a big difference though, and I'm now running 20psi front and 30 - 32psi on the rear. I started with the same pressures that Piaggio recommend for their Vespa with a similar weight and size.
