Look on page one I put up the gears in my Tranny and Mine had 13/40 gears and I put in 16/37 Went 3 up and 3 down.
For every 1 gear up and 1 gear down you can expect about 3-4 mph gain depending on your motor. For a stock motor I only recommend 2 up and 2 down otherwise the motor may not have enough power to pull them in the lower range and it may be sluggish getting up to speed. Alleyoop

Big Al your always messing with my head!! Guys I am having a blast here with my son and grand kids. Been getting around on ATVs here and fishing and a little target practice. I sure hope it cools down for the return trip to Florida, it has been hot.

That is great MIKE, sounds like your having a heck of a good time and enjoying the grand kids.
I think the trip back to Florida will be a little cooler for you not as hot as when you left. Keep us updated, Alleyoop

I think you tried to scare me with that 4 hour BS! lol... i did entire project in under an hour total.... about 20 mins to disassemble and 30 mins to put back together.... 10 mins to test drive...
I had a few problems along the way but I work real slow too. Glad you got the part so fast and it all worked out. You see now why I liked the PFS shaft. It's very clean looking, they sell good stuff and deliver pretty quickly.

OK, back surgery 3 is out of the way for now so I started scooting to therapy on my CF MOTO 250. I have 2,222.6 on it and might just change that shaft for craps and grins......don't need it snapping off on me next! Over all, this scooter has proven to be a damn good scooter!
Ride safe y'all!

Even if you don't install it the price is not a back-breaker to keep in stock. I paid $66.00 plus shipping for my Honda Helix shaft and I'm sure I'll never need it. Of course the scooter knows I have a Japanese shaft in reserve after I showed it to the bike. I don't expect any misbehaving from now on.

Funny KZ. Alley: when you put the 16/37's in there, did you have any engine mods at the time? I wouldnt mind doing the swap and then tuning the engine after, but I don't want to kill the engine while taking off. If you've already got the 18/36 gears in let me know. Also, are there any kits out there which contain all seals and bearings for the rear end? I have the 244 helix if that helps.

Borris, The 16/37 gears went in when the case was bored to put in the 62mm BBK and 60mm Crank so the motor had 30 more ccs added to it along with the taller gears. Alleyoop

Well that solved a little puzzle in my mind. I couldnt see taller gearing doing anything but slowing mine down. Bearing kits for front and back, or piece meal? Thanks, Boris
