Hey rdwarrior,
I bought my scoot from Scooter depot and have NOTHING good to say about their customer service. If you have any problem at all their solution is to promise you anything and then forget about you the second you hang up the phone. It's also almost impossible to get the same person you talked to before again. I believe that they don't even have operators and just take turns answering the phone. Luckily for me my problems were not mechanical or breakage and I could solve them on my own so I love my scooter (Chuanl LB150T-26 with 16" wheels).

I just took my scoot out of the crate a few days ago, it is from Scooterdepot. They do take their time shipping I have to admit. Customer Service is mediocre to say the least. Tech Support is ok. The scooter is what I expected pretty much, entry level. I know I got what I paid for, and it is not going to get heavy use. They are shipping me a new carburetor on Monday as I am experiencing problems with this one. We'll see.....

I have a 2012 300cc reverse tike, made by Dong Fang in China. Since I got it, it has had multiple problems, which I fixed myself. I got it to start immediately, go 60 mph or more, not wobble, etc. However, after a while, the engine would shut off at about 55 mph, but come back on at a lower speed or if I stopped. It would do that about every ten minutes or so as I went down the highway. I figured it was not getting gas at high speeds, but before I could work on that, it would not start anymore. Both the ignition system and the carburetor checked out. After a month of working on it and replacing parts, I gave up and took it to a scooter repair place. They have had it most of the summer. The last report I got was that they got it to start and run around the building just fine, but when they turned it off, it would not re-start. They also checked the carburetor and said everything was fine. Now they want to return it. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Since I don't think they drove it over 55, it may still have that problem, too.

rdfuerle, Welcome to scooter doc. It would be good to start your own thread so as not to confuse the issues. It sounds to me as you may have several things going on with your scooter that we need to address one at a time. When you get your scooter home there will be various tests you can do and there are tutorials here. The engine in the scooters are really very simple to diagnose and repair. Let us know when you are ready to start on it.
