A crossover, by the way, is a scooter engine in a motorcycle frame, giving you the advantages of both worlds.

Thanks kz1000st, yes i guess it is a crossover, its based on the Gilera DNA, but mines the Pulse rage 125cc on a 2010 plate , looks a bit like a motorcycle but its a scoot, hybrid the reviews call it , my small tyres are the only give away when I'm out on a run with the Bikers lol...but I still keep up with them except on a bad incline shes only got 7bhp so I lag behind , contemplating a 180cc kit to give me the extra horsepower

If its completely stock start with the simple things like improving the breathing with intake and exhaust up grades. My wifes 150 scoot was so restricted in the exhaust it would barely do 40+. A simple hole saw cut in the right place on the muffler, an unlimited CDI and a free flow air filter had it close to 55mph with much improved acceleration. This was all under $25. Once these basics are done then add the 180cc kit with the proper carb, tune the variator and it will act more like a 250!

And for the one that asked, it is a GY6. A 152qmi version. In the UK pulse are part of the Lexmoto empire. Quite a large importer and parts distributor with lots of dealers.

Thanks oldscootcoot , its had an exhaust upgrade and already does 60 easily on the flat, but uphill it struggles a bit .

Mine has the same engine and will do about 60 max too. (now anyway). Even with gearing changes i'd guess thats about the most realistically.
Still good fun though!
