Maybe because of sites like this they are lasting longer. my thoughts exactly. Also, all the people i know that own scooters tend to keep them on and on. Not sell them once it gets a little cold and then buy a new one in spring. |

I notice they don't seem to include Chinese bikes or scooters in their survey. Perhaps more people in the scooter market are buying Chinese bikes since the whole dealer/parts/support network seems to be getting better.

These numbers reflect the sales of members of the Motorcycle Industry Council. Chinese retailers are not members, yet. I'm not so sure that SYM or Kymco are either. The following six motorcycle distributors pay dues based on market share and designate an employee to the Board: American Honda
Motor Co., American Suzuki Motor Corp., BMW Motorrad USA, Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA, KTM North America, Inc., and Yamaha
Motor Corporation, USA. I found this but I find it hard to believe Harley, Piaggio and Polaris sales aren't reported. |

It doesn't make sense to report anything if their report is going to be so slanted and as much of a lie as it is.
The motorcycle industry council it self is a big lie if only certain ones are members and they do not take into account the maker of the most populous motorcycle in this country and I am certainly not a harley fan but fact is fact.
