We've sold 5 .... but I'd have to say this is the Puma with which I'm least impressed. Mechanically ok...but the body fit and finish leaves much to be desired. Too much plastic...it squeaks and creaks. We call it a 20 footer.... looks great from 20 feet. Kinda like some women in bars late at night!

20 footer!!!!! where i come from she would be a two bagger,,one for her one for you in case hers came off!!!too funny!!!,,thank you for the advice,, i was more concerned with the mechanical aspects of the machine,, engine reliability, chassis strength,, parts availability,,i've never owned or considered a chinese built anything with wheels , squeaks creaks pops i can deal with ,i have studied the gy6 mill and it's quite stout but i was worried about where and how it was made more than anything,,it's a great design (the engine trans package) i just wanted to make sure the manufacturing was executed correctly,,,,borg

Thanks for the advice,,,,is there a steel chinese version of any scooter? and any ideas/advice on the rukus clone the rowdy? All the China scoots are built with plastic. As a matter of fact Vespa is the only company not using "Tupperware" panels. In my opinion this is the best for the money, after the Milan style. www.killermotorsports.com/product_p/bms-bm-xlt-110.htmDead reliable, fairly quick and much less labor intensive. Most of the 150 and 50cc Ruckus clones are good bikes too.

My earlier experience with my daughters retro style scooter was the reason for the choice on the Ruckus clone. Hers was a real pain to remove the plastic for any sort of service. Most of the stuff on the Ruck clone is right out there or easily gotten to. I really like the look of the full panel scoots, but the Ruck look is kinda cool too.

We call it a 20 footer.... looks great from 20 feet. Kinda like some women in bars late at night! You like women? I bought a Puma from Cookees and after I got rid of the large housecat he sent down in a crate I told him to send me a freakin' scooter! He doesn't usually do crate scooters but we're pals and I have pictures of him in Mexico City doing unspeakable things with a transvestite. He'll do anything I want him to do.
Here's a picture of the 150cc Puma, the 150cc Pegasus, my wife, and some jerk claiming to be my wife's long lost brother:
He's a little too chummy with my wife for my money to be her brother. I just wish he'd get a job!
The Puma has a solid frame, good electricals with decent connectors, a strong engine, and good CVT components. It did have a carb with a sealed A/F screw; notice the past tense. After redoing the carb and opening up a couple plugs on the airbox it is now quite fast. I'll hit 60 no problem. It handles nicely and is stable at WOT. I can't find the PAIR pollution system or the vapor canister. I'm not sure where they went, they just disappeared one day.
It's a nice bike and I'd buy another.

Looks like he's giving her the Heimlich maneuver...or trying to cop a feel. Whichever one...you're right....I'd give him the boot.

I know Doug. The Stella is made in India by LML, not China. It's also not comparatively cheap. $3500 new, the same price as a Honda PCX 150, a much, much better machine. At that the Stella is only a grand cheaper than a similar sized Vespa. The BMS Bi Metro looks way better in that light.
