This makes it a little easier to work on things if it is a big job. I jacked it way up with a floor jack, then attached some tow straps in my rafters and to the frame of the bike. If you are old like me, it helps to not have to bend over so much. Yes, I know I have a lot of crap in the garage. Please don't call the Hoarders people on me!

You're old?! Try 57 bub then talk to me; if your old in your 40's I must be ready for the bone pile. I actually thought you were in your 20's for some reason, not even sure why. Anyway, A FRIGGIN TUBE TV??!! REALLY!!?? Is that your communications device to the galactic seven when you put you foil hat on or something? THROW IT OUT!! You really are a whoreder...I mean hoarder. Don't feel like the lone ranger, you should see my back storage room; Actually, you can't see into it, too much crap. That is a brilliant idea for jacking up ypur bike....really. I've been mulling over trying to figure someway to do that with my come-a- long or ratchet ties but couldn't think of anything, that's inspired. You could bungee the front brake tight and stabilize it even more. Also, if a guy could get the front end up with a lifting device and get it on a solid surface, the whole damn bike would be at your finger tips. Great idead Jon, thanks.Rich PS, what are you going to do anyway, new 200cc motor?

At least you can get to your work bench. I have an alley from one end to the other. Nobody touches anything cause I know where everything is at.

Great way to get to the scoot, kid. Compared to me you are all a bunch of young punks!!!!! Compared to my work area , your shop looks sanitary enough to do major surgery in. Bryan at MountainMoped has a motorcycle lift from Harbor Freight that helps a lot and also has a rafter mounted electric winch to do what you are doing-- does make the job easier. Jon & Bashan you guys are young!! Wait til you are middle aged like me(74) or Dr. J (?). Age is relative. If you want to be old at 40 you will be, if you want to be young at our age you can be.

Lol Bashan and the rest of you: So I guess I'm not the oldest or messiest? I don't feel that old, but the first time I did a bunch of work on it with it on the ground I was really sore the next day. I guess using muscles that I don't normally use. No new engine yet, this was when I was having my clattering noise in my engine. All fixed now, but I always have to do something on it. Flat tire, oil leak, exhaust leak...fun stuff. I'm headed out for a ride soon!

Hey - most of the junk cluttering up my garages belongs to Dr. Mom and the kids and 2 of those live miles away. I had the garages reasonably clean and 1 of the girls lost her job and moved home.
