I know this nothing to many of you but today at 9 AM it was only 48 out and I went for breakfast on the the trike. I had a light sweater and a broker and gloves on. Back to 70 Tuesday, just a little cold front lasted 2 days. Was cold to riding, getting old I guess...

Man , I'll give both of y'all my vote for Heman awards , cause it aint happening with this boy till I see some solid 60s again. Luke , I aint getting into any chino-Japan hooey with anyone , but I've gotta say that I do and always have thaught that the Morph is a long sleek , yes and somewhat sexy bike. I hope one day to have one in great shape to ride. I just love the looks of them. daddue11.

hey daddue11...thanks!...i really love this bike, my only complain is the backrest, a taller backrest would've have been better. otherwise i'm really enjoying the smoothness of the ride. thanks!

I am giving Mike an official "YOU SUCK" award.
LUKE will always get a YS award until next summer when he will be leaving his tire rubber in steaming liquid pools behind him.
It got up to 59°F today. I was riding with an open helmet, T-shirt and open BDU jacket, jeans with hard sole slippers on, -no gloves. It was a little cool on the way home at 5PM though. I had to drop the helmet visor and fasten a button on the BDU jacket. The long range lying babble weather says I should be able to ride every day except a couple for the rest of the month. I try not to ride if it is below freezing, snowing or sleeting. I probably will be riding in the 20's later this winter. I am too old for that crap also.

I don't have any choice about riding in the cold. If I don't ride I don't eat.

Hey listen Frank, I think it's cool that you use the trike every day. It puts a huge dent in the "Chinese scooters can't be trusted for reliable transportation" blather some people inflict on us.

And of course, it's not how cold the temp is, so much as how much it and how fast it has dropped from what you are accustomed to. If your daily temps are usually in the 70's, and you catch a drop to 40, that hits you as much as going from a daily 45 degrees f to a 20 degree f ride. You get used to low or high temps, but it doesn't happen overnight... Case in point: Worked on the yukon river for a year. Average working temps were around -20/-30 f below in the winter. When spring came and the temp soared to 60, it felt toasty..

I haven't been riding for almost 3 weeks. The temp in SLC hasn't been above 25 til yesterday and has been down to 4 but mostly hovering around 18. I only wish it would be a balmy 48. Just like FrankenMech, my only transportation is my scoot so I have learned to stock up on stuff I know I'll need especially when it's on sale. Maybe before Xmas I'll get to the store again.

what? ? -20/-30F***? OMG!!! my goodness gracious!! you know what, why do you still have to live there? that temp is not a conducive for living creature to live in, and at -30F*** it freezes everything. imagine yourself inside a freezer? or worst a nitrogen tank. my goodness! if i live there i'd probably not take a shower for the entire winter season. and i'll be in my bed wearing my snuggies all the time., and im not crazy to go to work and shovel those white stuff with my coat and tie and leather shoes... Go to California and Arizona, you'll enjoy life to the fullest... listen to me! you can ask Jr and Kz,,they both been to Ca and Az recently.

I am going for a ride in a few minutes. My scoot is a real 'grocery getter' equipped with folding baskets etc for carrying cargo. Inside a nitrogen tank isn't bad. As long as you had O2 to breathe and could stand the pressure. It is room temperature inside that pressurized tank. Now taking a shower in liquid nitrogen is a bigger problem but not insurmountable. I have poured liquid nitrogen over my bare hands without discomfort or injury to prove a point to the OSHA officials. Drop some water into a hot frying pan for a similar effect. They wanted me to wear insulated gloves that would have soaked up the liquid and frozen my hand completely causing severe injuries. I gave them a few heart attacks over the years but the OSHA regs for the entire country got changed after several of my 'demonstrations'.

hahaha, they must have changed their guidelines after seing your demos...i will see, we'll get inspected this March 2014...
btw, liquid nitrogen should be sprayed to your hand at 100psi to have an effect. i watched this thing in nat geo. a guy sprayed liquid nitro on a sandwich, after 1minute he threw it on the floor and it broke into pieces..lol.....that's how cold it is in Edmonton Canada -80F***
