I use a folding tote made in the UK on the luggage rack in back. When unfolded it opens up bigger than a milk crate. It also matches my black scoot. I got it at an office supply store. There are three #582 WALD folding baskets, one in front and two on the sides, all black. www.waldsports.com/index.cfm/store/rear-baskets/582-rear-folding-basket/I really need to get pictures of my ride with the mods posted.

I have been scootin' to work at 6:30 am in temps of the mid 20s. Gloves, leather jacket, scarf and full helmet. I'm good to go. The face shield steams up a little tho!

It was 56°F outside today when I went for a ride at 2PM. I was dressed way warmer than I should have been, even when I was on my way back home. It is supposed to start the rain/ice/snow thing in a few hours. Scheisse...
I need to look for a better jacket to wear that has a little more wind resistance. That seems to be the important part of cycle wear. I have a snap-up coaches jacket but I need a zipper. Wearing a coat under a coat is a PITA and does not allow much strategic cooling adjustments. I will have to hit the after after Xmas clearance sales. No way am I venturing into a store this time of year. Besides, Xmas has drained my accounts and my cards are maxed out. I spent too much money on the scoot and Christmas.

Going to take the 600 out for a spin at lunch tomorrow than over to get some passport photos and finger prints. LOL almost sounds like I got Busted!! I seen the old Silver Bullet today. Didn't tell the guy I used to own it as all he did was bitch on it... It still looks neat but is giving this guy some real problems. He also said he is only getting 35 miles to the gal... She did have attitude!! LOL

I learned this lesson the hard way and I'm here to tell you there is only one way to go. Leather. A leather jacket is virtually non porous and cuts the wind like knife. Leatherup.com has jackets at better than reasonable prices. The same with gloves-Leather. All these space age synthetic jackets of various forms of plastic don't cut it.

That is good to know but the prices I have seen for leather is out of reach for me.
Some experimental explorer found that the clothing worn by the Vikings worked fairly well in the North Atlantic. All those space age super materials did not work worth a damn. LOL
Edit: p.s. I visited that letherup site and noticed that jacket sizes are an Un-Scientific Wild arse Guess and LOTS of $$$. Murphy always messes with me and I am hard to fit anyway. I also checked my spelling several times and still expected to get diverted to some p0rn site.

Here in motorcycle-land $129.00 isn't expensive. I saw one for $109.00 which is a real bargain. You might try ebay.

T-Shirt and shorts again here today... Going down in the 60s again in a few days. I have seen a lot of leather jackets in the Salvation Army Stores and cheap too. I get all my riding wind breakers there, like new for only a couple bucks.
