This information is being provided with permission from management at Ice Bear, Ca.

Hopefully no one in these forum had dealings with Rad Motorsports in Ca.

These 2 people were employees of Ice Bear, one in sales the other was the parts manager. The sales person would field phone calls from customers wanting parts and send them to Rad Motorsports, who was in fact the parts manager at Ice Bear. They were collecting money from the customers, then stealing parts from the warehouse and ship them out under Ice Bear's UPS account. Evidently this was going on for quite awhile, some folks were not even getting the parts they ordered and these two were just pocketing the money. It was quite a scam. The pats manager had his employment terminated, but he was still trying to order parts from Ice Bear under the name Rad Motorsports to fill old orders. That is when the found out about the sales person. Of course his employment was also terminated. They found out all of this around Christmas time.

Ice Bear has hired a new parts manager and they are just now getting a complete wall to wall warehouse inventory done. This has caused a slow down in dealers getting orders filled and getting the parts out to their customers. They are almost finished with the inventory and at that time will be able to assess the extent of what is missing and reorder from China. They expect to be back in full swing with normal ordering by next week.

I knew of this a few weeks ago and just had to tell my customers that there was a delay in ordering and parts shipping. . Today management asked me to post what was going on so customers were aware. Rest assured that Ice Bear is getting back on track providing customers with parts quickly to avoid customer downtime as much as possible.Customer service and support is still their main concern.

Wow! Now that's guts. You gotta wonder how bozos like that think they can get away with massive theft and come up clean. Those Ice Bear guys are pretty good. Another company would have invented some fairy tale instead of telling the whole story. Good for them.

Just another example of the integrity of this company,,,standing up for the trike trans for those folks,and generally trying to be a good business,,,nice,,,they got my bux when it's time to buy my next scoot,,after the stella of course,,,,

I still don't don't understand why there's a delay....parts we're stolen yes but they were being shipped to the person who actually called and ordered, it's just that the money didn't go to the company but were pocketed instead..

my goodness!! everythings associated with chinese scoot is a mayhem, goodness gracious!!, from manufacturers, to dealers, to parts, to scooter not running on day one! to tranny, to fuel pump, to shimmy take off!!...ahh whatelse!!

Wow,,Luke do you have any idea what it takes to do a complete inventory of a warehouse that size? The man hours are staggering,,and then recataloging to find out what is actually missing because the parts were never logged out,,(ie thinking you have ten starters when you have none)....geez wake up man!!,,,they (ice bear) get my vote

I think you should ask JCT842 about the integrity of acquiring Yamaha parts. He might debate your "everythings associated with Chinese scoot is a mayhem" argument. Especially since Chinese scooter owners get their parts from aftermarket firms or dealers like GS Motorworks in less than a week. Also for one-third the price too I might add.

Geez i'm staying away from the tech posts pretty much cause i'm not a pro,,and alleyoop's and bashan's got everything nailed down tite,,,and i've got $40,000 in snap-on tools and still feel i'm not qualified to open my big mouth too much,,,and we got mr denegrader down talking everything chinese and he owns a bent screwdriver and a hammer with the head coming off ,,,,,and the scarey thing is he can vote,,astounding to me

Hell luke took his parts scooter apart and can't figure out how to put the plastic back on. He let that out a few months ago when he wanted to sell it! But he is an expert, just ask.

The recent delay was because of new personnel and inventorying the warehouse. Guess you can't read either, some were not getting the parts they ordered and paid for before Ice Bear found out what was going on.

Now, now Jim. Give Luke a minute. He's typing a response your questions about his qualifications even as we speak. First he has to take care of all his customers at his scooter shop. You know, the empty one since all the scooters he sells are perfect, no one needs any service on their scooters because parts never break, wear out or need adjustments. He's very busy restocking more scooters from Neverland, Inc., who are still building and supplying his magic scooters.
