I took the scoot to go pay a bill for my wife. When I hopped back on it and tried to fire it up...nothing. No gauges, no lights, no starter...nothing. I immediately took a look at the fuse. It looked good. I started to reach for the multimeter...
That's when I remembered I was being a jack arse. ALWAYS replace the fuse, no matter how intact it looks. Luckily, my fine brothers and sisters in China had provided me a spare fuse. I popped it in...started right up...stopped at AutoZone on the way home and bought fuses.
What was I doing riding around without extra fuses? I know better than that. Close call. That would've been a long, shameful, walk to go buy fuses.

Good catch. I kinda did the same thing. Was showing my trike to some folks who were interested in getting one. I go to start it up, and NUTTIN. Fuses, fine Gas Fine NUTTIN
Turned out to be the battery cable connection to the battery post. Tight, but not tight enuf (lights came on, but starter wouldn't engage)
Lesson learned.
Again, frustration for 5 minutes can ruin a day. Until you finger it out, and then you're so relieved.
Good Job!!

Now you have to ask yourself, SELF, was the fuse just poor quality or did something cause it to blow

I'm with you Alley. Fuses don't just arbitrarily blow. After I got it started, I was riding to AutoZone, trying to figure out what caused it to blow. When I got in the store, I took the old fuse out of my pocket to see how many amps it was rated for. When I did that, the endcap on the fuse fell off and onto the floor. I've never had that happen before. The way the fuse was assembled was just a glass tube with a small wire, bent 180 degrees back over the edge of the tube on each end and then the endcaps slipped over top of that. Friction fit only. My guess, my hope, is that vibration, corrosion, or some other variable caused a discontinuity in the circuit at the fuse. I had no signs of electrical, or for that matter, any other issues, either before or after this "blown" fuse. For now, I'm just going to attribute this incident to a poorly made component. About an hour after this all went down, I took it out and put another 20 miles on it with no problem.

Yes. Don't over think it. This was just a cheap part failure.

cum'on Rocco, tell us the truth, there's more into it than just a burnt fuse...cum'on tell ALL... dude, i bought my morphous with already 7K miles on it, then i rack up another 21K miles(of course, trailering won't move the odometer,so zip it KZ and Magoo, lol) ...and up to this very minute, i havent had ANY mechanical issues with it. not a single one..., so spring is comming, im not even going to change the oil, but i will clean the filter.and wax the body really good. might replace the rear tire soon. KZ is a very mechanically inclined person,he knows what's he's doing i can tell i have no arguement with that, but i don't like his taste in scooters...

So scroll on down the page Luke and explain this to me. No mechanical problems. scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/7766/morphous-transmission-noiseIt looks like trouble to me. I don't have to do that. i usually do it before spring since i do heavy crazy riding during spring and summer. my morph should be in tip top shape, basically i remove the old grease on the Primary sliding sheave component(center) and put fresh grease in it.I've been tracking your weather all winter. You only ride in Spring and Summer? No wonder I do as many miles as you. You shouldn't bother Doc Rocco, he's already ridden more miles than you this year. Sadly he doesn't own a trailer or he might have done even more.
