Yeah, that puppy has like 6,000hp. The cylinders are big enough for an adult to fit inside and there are 16 of them.

Can any one imagine that if that engine was not coupled to a generator what it would take for a clutch and transmission?

That's why they use electric motors on the axles of those engines. The diesel engine drives a generator to make electricity for the axle motors.
