My wife's sister Darlene and her husband Steve came down a couple of days ago trailering a 400 Burgman trike. It's a beautiful rig and there's something special about it. Steve designed and built the damn thing from scratch. Not the Burgman, Suzuki built that. But the trike mechanism...he designed and constructed it. Oh yeah...I had to hear how he has an entire machine shop in his MASSIVE metal building. Here's the POS right here:
OK, it's really cool...big deal. Does he have his own forum? Do you Steve? I couldn't get him to answer that one, I wonder why? Hmmmm Steve? Oh, you do...the Burgman Trike Worldwide Emporium...I see. 12,000 members....you rake in $150K...I see. I hate you.
Here is a picture of my wife Sue on the left (isn't she cutesy?!), her sweet sister Darlene (she's cutesy too), and Mr. Perfect Machine Shop, that's his male stripper stage name (he's not cutesy).
I gotta admit, I went to one of the shows and...moving on.
Here's the rear end....bet you hear a lot of that at the strip club eh Steve, The Machine Shop, uh...um...Fabricator? Yeah, he is known as the Fab-ri-ca-tor.
He designed it to look like the back of a semi. Been hangin' around in truck stops again Steve?! Actually it looks great...I hate him...I have a forum. OK, here's how this death trap works. He removed the center stand and fabricated an attachment to the stand mount...he got lucky on that one. Second lucky guess, he used the shipping hold downs for the back attachments (#2): #1 is just that...bathroom humor! Actually that's the rather clever swing bracket he designed. Here's how it works: That was Steve trying to explain the whole thing to me. He has some fascination for dressing up as The Fabricator and then Jerry Lewis for the second show...get help Steve...and get out of my fridge. Good grief it's not rocket science and I have a forum! I found one pic that has redeeming value for this metallic aberration....oh yeah...it's Dr. Forum Admin! That's my stage name for the third show: We went riding with Steve and Darlene. They are great people and brightened our lives. We welcome them anytime...love you guys...especially "The Fabricator!" Steve, we talked about this...that's a "bad" touch. OK...five minutes.

Hey! It has four wheels on the ground. Doesn't that make it a car? Or at least an ASV (All Street Vehicle)

It's a 400 but that thing is fast! Even with the kit and a passenger. He was popping 65 when we went out no problem. Good grief, what's the 650 like?! Sheeesh! Rich

Just my .02 but the thing looks industrial and a bit cheap. It's like "the tail wagging the dog". The smooth lines of the scoot get lost on the bends of the tin.
I feel bad for the Burgman ........

Rich Over on a Gold Wing board I read about a 650 Burg riding across the country with some 1800 Wings without a hitch. The Wingers said they didn't ride any slower than normal for them and the guy on the Burg said it was an enjoyable ride.
I've got to try one out some day.

I did the Run For The Wall (Calif to DC) a few years (12) ago, and an older gentleman (about our age, I believe I recall him saying he was a retired military Colonel, or LtCol, [whatever]) rode a Burgman. At that time, we all kinda just looked at him sideways, but, he kept up just fine. And, he carried all his camping gear If I could, I would

Well up close it doesn't look cheap, he is an excellent machinist and welder. Now Steve even told me he's not entirely happy with the look of the fenders and has future plans for them. It looks much nicer than many of the expensive manufactured kits I've seen and all for under a $100.00. That's hard to argue with. Don't feel bad, the Burgie was very happy, it told me so. Rich
