Sure hope nothing bad has happened. There are a lot of questions that the rest of us don't seem to be able to answer in the trike and the 50 to 150 catagorys. Sure would like to see him back to.
I don't go to the other boards. Almost left here when rich suddenly passed away. Unless things have changed there was so much duplication of posts.

Are you babying it? I don't know what the answer is, I had same type of thing with that 400cc majesty, never cured it but at the last I was rolling throttle while locking the back brake. That would last a month or two. I got rid it because of the horrible ride and my bad back hurting/

How did it start bogging? Or when did it start doing it? Unless you missed the valves by a mile.
Need history first. If it started after a big bore install ,......you do know a big bore does need more gas

Leave the cap off and see how it runs. To me it sounds like the cap venting got itself plugged. Had a tractor that did that, finally got out a small drill bit and bored a new version that hole. Unlikely a fuel filter would plug with 600mi. Just listen to your self "removed the cap and it started"
Do not overlook checking valves, not problem you are fighting but will be if you neglect it.

The ign module on a lot of bikes out running around today is worth more than the bike! Then when we get into fuel injection a problem there is going to ground a lot of bikes just past the guarantee. Not just bikes either, I have a small outboard that the ign. module is not available and when it was it was more than motor was worth.
It would be real nice if manufactures would get together and use standard parts. That goes against their strategy of planned obsolescence. Todays society is used to "toss it and buy a new one" That theory is good when we talk of a $50 item but a $2000 4 year old bike it flat sucks.

What have you checkled so far? Plug....air filter...hoses? Extra air getting in thru a loose or cracked manifold or a vacuum leak? Have even seen a couple here that had a carb get loose.
Almost forgot the most important thing .....have you checkled valve clearance? The valves especially exhaust closes up with use and those valves do need to be adjusted from time to time.

Fuel/air requirements are different for load and no load. Do a plug chop. If the problem happened after sea foam, that may have changed the mix of air/fuel.1

Never heard of 48 volt other than if it was an electricaly poweredscooter. If the starter is 48volt it would have to be changed as well as light bulbs and charging system. This will be interesting.
