My Icebear Zodiac 150cc trike has been a bad dream from day one.....Every day off from work I find myself underneath the darn thing fixing something....Everytime I order a part....it's not the right one. I am very inventive with massive fabrication skill and have made many design changes to accomodate. The main issues I am having now are 1. Gear oil leaks like Mount Vesuvias 2. The constant wobble which a tire shop guy told me was due to warped rear wheel rims......LOVELY After searching forever with no success, I ask you, fellow trikers, where in the world can I find to replace these puppies? The measurements are 270/30 14" Rapid Jim.....If possible...Call me 561-633-8443.....You have helped in the past

Motor noise. All kinds of devices sold to combat this. Capacitors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, various forms of shielding. Would help to figure out where it is coming from and them go from there. Measure the voltage on the battery terminal to see that it is with in reason. You could temporarily power it with a completely seperate battery and then start your scooter and see if it still does it. There are resistor plugs and wires for the plug meant to eliminate motor noise. It will probably take a whole bunch od detective work. Looks like you may be right. Now, the radio does well at an idle but cuts in and out during higher rpm's. What the heck? I tried contacting Jensen for an answer but haven't heard from them yet. What exactly needs shielded?

Hi...I'm new here...just signed up today. I'm purchasing the new Ice Bear Zodiac trike and was wondering if anyone has taken it on any lengthy trips and if so, how often did you stop and what was your overall speed during the trip? As all the other guys know, my wifey Ronda decided on the Zodiac trike from Icebear. We, unfortunately have had many issues. Main thing to remember, RAPID JIM is awesome and I wish he lived in West Palm Beach. My alignment still isn't right but we're working on it. I used a gps and top speed was 49 mph with nominal conditions. On a long distance trip make sure to bring a tool box because many bolts and screws find a way to rattle loose. Good-luck and I wish you the best! Hopefully with more trike owners out there, there will be more mechanics willing to work on them.

I took my Rear 10" rims to JUST TIRES and they balanced them for me not a problem. They even mounted the KENDA larger new tirs on them. Alleyoop My wife drove around to different shops and perhaps nobody wanted to remove the rims rhemselves and I understand that. The only time I took the tires off for this reason, I took them to Pep Boys and apparently they tried and said they were just not able. I didn't argue because the guys that work at my neighborhood Pep Boys are truly miserable angry people. I'll try again. Thanks Alleyoop. Whats the purpose of larger tires?

dude, your scaring me!
Luckily before I read your reply, I found a black accessory wire that also lights up the dash and used it to power the radio. I think it fixed my issue. Gonna go on a test run right now. So far I have figured out all my trike issues except for the damn wobble! I took the back tires to every place under the sun and no one wants to balance them!

Just installed a Jenson Motorcycle/marine radio and two speakers. Flush mounted the speakers into the dash and installed antenna. Looks lovely. Went to turn the radio on and it works awesome...until I start the trike. While the motor is on the sound of the radio cuts in and out! I followed all manufacture directions except I didn't run the power to an accessory, instead straight to the battery with a toggle in between. Could that be my problem? I ran the ground to the frame. Someone please help, I have one more day off tomorrow before going back to work and I'd rather go to the beach.

Thank you Jim, I just put the new axle in. The wobble is much better but still there.
What else is causing a wobble? If I throttle up to about 25 mph and let go of the handles, they go crazy back and forth. Do I have an alignment problem? What should I do next?
Anything would help,
Thank you all.

Yes, that's it. It has two metal counterfeit tail pipes in the rear that caused a lot of clanking. I had to get some hardware to really secure them, still there is some other minor ping that I hear when on bumpy roads. Like I said, there is no chain guard though.
The measurement of the axle was given to me by a lady at Florida Nut and Bolt. I asked her to measure it for me. That was what she said, and yes I now realize.

OMG! The shaft is 280mm (not the overall length) AAAAHHHHHHHH.
I just got the one that alleyoop found. About 1/2 inch to short! How can this be? If anyone out there can find me the right axle I will mail them the last 4 axles I ordered as a reward.

Oh dear god, thank you thank you thank you. I'm ordering it right away! Only other thing, There is a clanking sound coming from underneath when on bumpy roads. I read the posts on chain guards but our trike has no chain guard. Is there any other obvious thing that it could be? I have tightened and checked everything I could get to.

Sorry folks, I dont do that well with a crappy cell phone. The model is PST150-19. It is brand new (2014) 150cc. www.megamotormadness.com/product/tri015-150cc-trikeThe bolt is the one that holds the front wheel within the forks. Most 150cc scoots take the 250mm long but this trike needs one that is 280mm x 1.25 x 12mm. Cant find anywhere!

I just ordered this trike for my fiancee from mega motor madness. It has been a nightmare from day one. I realize that it is a good idea to check all the factory hardware, but holy crap, I feel like someone wants me dead. After weeks of tweeking and getting rid of all the annoying vibrations , I realized the front wheel axle bolt is warped and causing quite a wobble. This, and the torn seat were my major complaints to the seller. I am still being ignored by mega motor madness (they say there in a middle of a move). I'm fed up trying to use my warranty...I'll fix it myself, right? No, not in this country! Someone please help! Where do I find the parts for this monster trike? The bolt needs to be 280mm long! No one I have contacted has it in stock, and machine shops refuse to make one. Also, where do I get a replacement windshield? Hell.....maybe. It is an icebear so I tried them....No answer or call back. Help..help...help. My fiancee doesn't deserve this, and I don't deserve her blaming me for not finding the parts! I will fly to China if that's the only way!
