Only gripe from me is getting soaked from the waist down. I have had more than my fair share of scooting in the rain !

Gy6 150 Parts 4 sale ! flywheel , used 150cc cylinder, gy6 150 cylinder head with egr valve and cover intact no cam gear , kickstart gear other small parts. Make me a good reasonable offer for all of it . You pay what ever shipping is via usps priority. I can't use them on my 2T and I don't have storage space to keep them any more! PM if interested ! Note : I would be wiling to take a Baofeng ( PoFung) UV-82 in trade . You would still need to pay shipping costs for the parts ! photo was taken with my phone. My apologies for the picture quality. willc.

I also have had good luck with SIP. Only thing is their minimum order if you don't go through Hodges. But if you meet that minimum then a++ with Fed Ex shipping. Scooter Works is ok. I have had good luck dealing with Scooter Mercato in GA aswell for small stuff. It was where I ordered my complete engine bolt kit for the tx200 engine build project last year. willc.

Does this 4T engine come with an auto choke or manual choke on the carb ? Use the choke manually it if its a pull type choke .

That's what the D@%$^ choke is for ! When my scoots engine hasn't been run that day or hasn't been for most of the day I always use the choke to get it started then back it off when it starts warming up. I use the choke warm or cold weather. My Vespa engine usually starts on the 3rd kick. As a result of that the scoots nickname is "3rd Kick". Others have luck on the 1st or second kick with choke applied. No choke and your going to take 4+ kicks to get the engine going !! One other recommended thing is check your clutch cable for any needed adjustment . The cable stretches a tad bit with use. Also I'd get a spare set of cable inners . I don't go with out them now after learning that lesson the hard way ! willc.

My 04 2 T's mirrors were too close in for me to see behind me . I added spacers to lengthen and extend by about an inch or two the mirrorr mounts. Speaking of shifting cyborg , I hope the learning curve on the shifting and tranny for you wasn't as bad as mine was when I first got my Stella. Going from a Chinese twist and go to a Vespa's 4 speed tranny and shifting cold turkey with no other instruction like I did was a rude awakening for me for the first couple of months. Letting off the clutch was a nightmare for me till I finally figured how not to pop a wheelie and not over rev the engine while starting out in 1st gear . willc.

I don't have an electric starter on my TX-200 engine . I can only use the kick starter The flywheel is different on the edges on a kick start only flywheel when compared to an electric start Vespa and LML flywheel. It threw me a monkey wrench last year when doing the original engine build when I tried to use the stella 2T's original px150 clone engines original flywheel and stator assy . The edges with the teeth kept me from using it.The lml made non electric start flywheel and stator worked with my 2T's CDI and electrical system. What's the 4 T's kick starter like ? The scoots frame still has all of the electric starter wiring incase I went back to a px 150 engine. willc.

"i don't know Rich,,,this stella is a copy of the long running PX series vespas and all the other earlier models were set up this way,,,i do believe the big vespas have removable side covers,,,why they dumped it on the small framed models is beyond me they are the ones that could use it the most" My understanding was that the smaller Vespa's side cowlings also came off just like their big brothers. There might be a tad difference on what holds the sides on between Piaggio's various 150 and 200cc Vespa models and the LML made copy's. The Chinese scoots don't have this option. I like being able to pop off the side without having to use a ratchet wrench and a screwdriver to get at my engine . Concerning the 8" and 10" tires on the older Vespa's ( and my Stella 2004 2T) : They weren't exactly made to go 60+mph in the first place ! That's where the Chinese scoots larger tires have an advantage . Trust me on this , it is "fun" enough just going 50+mph on these tires. Aerodynamics are not the greatest on any of the older Vespa's either. Same goes for my 2T. One positive I see is that the Vespa's parts quality are much higher than the Chinese scoots. The parts last longer. My 2 shekel's worth ! willc.

The Stella 2T is pretty much an LML Star that was sold under the manufacturers name overseas instead of the Genuine Scooter Company that carried the scoot here in the US. A good many Vespa PX series parts will interchange with it. I know this first hand. I built a Vespa P(TX) 200 engine for my 2004 Stella 2T last year. I kept the Stella's electronic ignition feature but otherwise kept the engine stock Vespa. I have to do my 2 cycle oil when fueling up. The engine doesn't have the oil injection mechanism that was on the scoots original 150cc engine or on some p200 and px200 engines. It is also strictly kickstart only. That I don't mind. willc.
