one other thing that could cause this is the tapper of the crank and the tapper in the flywheel not being the same the easiest way to check is to measure the big end and little end of the tapper of both the flywheel and crank and measure the distance between the ends of the tapper if they dint match then it will continue to work lose

ok does the key fit tight in the keyway if so then you may need to put a washer or two on the end of the crank then thighten it down with an impact

you may need to reset the float level in the carb when the bike fell the impact could have messed the float level up

have you check the cables from the battery to the chassis and selniod and the starter the factory cable ends then to cut through the wire and make poor connections i would replace all the eyelet on both the battery + side and the neg side clean all paint of where the grounds connect to the frame and the motor

you can turn the screw with the spring around it in a few turns that should help with getting it to idle

a bad ground will cause the starter to drag and get hot it acts like a big resistor cutting the voltage to the motor

if you suck on the vac line and get no feul then you have your petcock hook up wrong or it is bad with no vac your petcock should cut the feul off and with vac you should have a steady flow of feul
