Aha! Good thinkin' , the Helicoil! I forgot about those! "all the brake assemblies for your scoot all say 10mm mirror" ... Yes.That is why I'm havin' troubles Looks like I'm gonna have to probably risk it. So, while I work this out with the brake, is there anything else that comes to mind that I ought to do before I were to dress this back up with it's panels? Yyou mentioned me clearing the carb jet .I'll probably put the old seals back into the M.C. for now, it leaked less. But that should only take a few minutes or so.

Measure the end of the mirrors stud: 8mm =5/16 if it is bigger than 5/16 then you know they are 10mm. 10mm=25/64 I already had , with my calipers, thanks Alleyoop . They're just under 8mm. My hope is that the listing could be incorrect in it's specification of 10mm for the mirror hole since, I haven't found any other M.C. that even looks like mine, with the brake switch built into the casing, so the wiring comes attached to it . The one in the listing matches up in every way except that it specifies a 10mm hole. I'm wondering if they copy/pasted specs from somewhere, in error. Not being able to locate with surety, my M.C. is why I ended up buying these hard to find rebuild kits and waited 3 weeks for them. Now, I wait for justscooterparts to answer my inquiry. It's been a couple of days already so, back to the hunting grounds to see if I can find one in China or something but, I did look around for the right one , a very long time before deciding to shift gears and look for the kits. And this silly girl thought she'd get something done on her scooter today !

Ha! Right?! Thanks guys. We'll see, richardv ! I have Saturday afternoon to put some time in again then , have to spend a couple days getting my pickup ready for smog testing. It just never ends around here I'm waiting on an answer from justsctooterparts on a full M.C. assembly they have on ebay, to find out if it suits my mirror mount holes. Their listing says 10mm threading but, I'm pretty sure, mine are 8mm. The assy looks to be the exact one I have other than that discrepancy. I'm perplexed. Maybe a error in the listing ? Did they even make 2 different ones for the "Flagship" style scoots? My Master cylinder... Compared to this one ? ebay link

Well, if I didn't have bad luck....
So, I waited 4 weeks for these master cylinder rebuild sets from Australia or something like that, and today spent the money for a new set of snap ring pliers and got the snap ring in there only to find that the seals on these things must be too small and the fluid just POURS past the seals .... And oh my gosh! I think I just about got myself SHOT! I kid you NOT! As I was writing the above post, I heard an elderly voice from outside calling "HELP!" I ran outside and shouted "Who is calling for help and where are you?!" She was on the other side of the block from me and two properties over and shouted that she was at the back of the property, but she shouted the wrong address, I would find out later. I jumped in my pickup and drove around the block to where I thought her voice came from, knocked at the door because I couldn't see an entry to the yard, nobody answered. I called out, I heard her scream again and I shouted that I was here and could hear her and that I am trying to get to her. I went around the side of the house and found a gate, and yelled "Are there any dogs back there?!" No answer, twice. So, I used the flashlight on my phone and started carefully into the dark side yard and heard a distant but forceful, foreboding voice shouting "Hey you! Get OUTTA MY YARD!!!" over and over. So, heck yes, I DID!!! I called 911 and as I rounded the front of the property, the garage door opened up and a man came running out. I thought I was about to get tackled or shot! But he must have headed out his back door to head me off first, because he said "I found her! I'm so SORRY! It's my Mother, she fell in the driveway in the back and is hurt pretty badly!" I ran back there with him and this poor old lady was sitting in a BIG pool of blood. I think she was in shock. We kept asking her questions because she was so quiet and didn't remember her address but, she was answering and sitting up so, WHEW! The ambulance got there quickly so, I got out of their hair. I don't know what it is with me and emergencies lately . I'll check on her in a couple of days or so. SO, I live another day, covered in brake fluid, having gotten worse off than when I started, LOL!

Yesireee! YA ARE! YA ARE! I dunno what I'd do without ya! So, I figured I'd get my master cylinder rebuild kits in there while I could and ends up, my snap ring pliers won't fit down in there on the clip. So, I've got to get down to the auto store and grab some tips to finish .Will do on the WD40. The brake pads are grabbing quite a bit because, the pads are too thick. I had grind them down a little but not enough, evidently.I knew to clear the passage in the master cylinder, in case that was also clogged. I can still tell when the rear wheel is wanting to turn, for the idle adjustment . I think you said that we will want to clear the jets, anyway. So, I'll prob be doing it again after A/F adjustment. I'll post again later, after I get this smaster cylinder back together. Prob around 5 by the time I get home with the pliers and get to do that.

No, that plug only plugs one way with the locking tab on the one side. PERPLEXING! I didn't do ANYTHING that involved, to change anything, lol! I'll try to trace that wire but, I'll be very surprised to find a fusebox after being all up in this bike for 4-5 months, for sure !

Lol! You KNOW I have been all over this thing and never saw a fuse box ! But, I only touched the back of the light bulb boot to see if a bad connect was keeping it from lighting. And it was running well then, after I shut it down to report here, you asked me to check the tachometer but, the bike acted dead. That's my story and I'm stickin to it! LOL!

That spade for the start switch IS getting a bit tired but, it's on there pretty tight. I KNOW, it makes me crazy that it's usually some silly thing. I'll poke around some more. Did you notice what I posted about the red and black wires switching positions from one side of the plug to the other? I did not ever touch them though. I wonder if this is the thing that caused my neighbor to PARK the scooter and, not the valves? Remember, it would run a while then shut down till cool, as if the valves weren't opening.
