REALLY?! I have looked at the over and over and over again LOOKING for a backward one. I trust what you know, rather than my eye so, here goes....
Okay, I did that and now it still does nothing in the "Run" position though.

Ok, everything wired to "stock", killswitch to "Kill" , I get spark.

But it DOES turn with the killswitch to "Kill".

Ok. Did that , all wired as originally , kill switch to "Run", and nothing there at all.

Ok, just saw your last post after posting mine. I'll do that, put it all back to stock. No manual grounds, and post results.

Ok, my head is just spinning in circles. Forgive me but, I don't think I am ever going to be able to understand the circuit, Alley. My brain itself, short circuits every time I try to conceptualize this . I'm really, really trying but, it's always been that way with me and electrical circuits, my mind goes useless. You go to all this time and trouble to help me understand it but, it's wasted in the electrical circuits area of my peanut! LOL! Following directions is about all I'm good for, here.
So, am I still splicing the green wire across from the B/W (In the connector opposite it, the one that your illustration indicates is the ground for the start button) to a frame ground, then checking for spark in only the run position of the kill switch ?

AND after removing the splice connector, I see that it had NOT made contact in the green wire that I connected to so, the above results are void ,anyway.

If you are referring to the START ground, I already had ran a new ground for it. It is in place now . Is that the one you refer to?
I also just spliced a new ground to frame to the green wire on the same connector as the B/W kill wire, but get the opposite result than I was looking for, I got ;
Kill Switch to the LEFT got spark, Kill Switch to the RIGHT, no spark .

Yes, it is in the same connector, 2 contact spaces away.

Ok. I'll give ita go and report. Is the green wire that I indicated in the pic , the correct one?

Lol! If it helps rosiemoto , I DO have one that I will be installing Thank GOODNESS, it should be simple enough, even for me !

Ahhh, Haha! Okay well see, that TOO is complicated cyborg ! See, I am working on this in my dining room area because, it is less complicated getting to my pc from my yard especially, since I have two kitties that love the challenge of seeing whether they can dart out the door every time it cracks open! There are other factors too but, also I have my newly acquired sciatica problem so, pushing the bike outside the apartment to actually start it is at a premium I can start it briefly, here and there with the doors and windows open, just not for long periods at all I wouldn't be nearly this close though, without Alleyoop, undoubtedly! On another note, the light switch that came in this set is not the same. It has three prongs as opposed to the 4 on mine. I'm trying to open to clean the one that I have and a contact is floating around loose in there now,before I have even figured out how to open it without breaking it. Hopefully, that doesn't stall anything else. The start switch and kill switch plugged right in but do look a tiny bit smaller than mine, hopefully, those will fit in the panel ok . Okay, whaddayasay Alleyoop ? You wanna do a round on this brat ? I plugged the kill and start in and plugged the stock ground back on, to see if anything corrects? Here's what I've got... Ok, THIS switch has labels my last one didn't and I assume that the label to the left indicates "Kill". 1. When I put the old "Stock" ground wire to the start switch turn the key on and try to start in that position, the engine turns. 2. When I try that with the switch to what I think is the "Run" position, nothing still. 3. When I connect to the start switch the ground to frame that I hooked in, Key on, I get a turn over both positions of the kill switch. So, Alley, at this point does the solution to connect a fresh ground to frame to one of the wires on the kill switch still apply, to avoid having to trace around on these ground wires? If so, do I understand correctly, this one ?

cyborg ? I'm not sure I understand. From what I gather, the headlights don't work unless the motor is running ? I just put a new kill and start switch on there. Gots more figurin' to do !
